Re: EA Launcher doesn´t install in choosen directory

Hey @PanFrie,

Thanks for your report.

This is indeed something that our EA App teams are actively investigating. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a workaround for the issue at the moment.

Please note that due to that the EA App is still in beta (development), it's possible that you'll run into more issues than we all would like.

    Hey @TheGanjalorian,

This is not a bug, but at the moment this is working as designed.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Basically we do what we want whether people like it or now cool.

@TheGanjalorian You can look a couple replies up and you'll see one way to do it.

Or check out this other video that changes the default location for EVERY single program.

Change Default Install Location Windows 10 [Tutorial] - YouTube

This video is abit old, so you might want to change both ProgramFilesDir and ProgramFilesDir (x86) there's a third one called ProgramW6432Dir that's used to install in both folders at the same time so you might want to change those 3. Then it doesn't matter if a program doesn't ask where you want it to be installed it'll go by default to that selected folder.

Pretty useful for invasive companies that want to see your stuff so bad. ie. Discord, etc.

  • At least YOU can admit the app is trash, is it still in beta in 2024, cause it still doesn't work in 2024, this is borderline scam level, i pay for games yet cant instal any.
