Does EA App have access in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access?
Are you running any 3rd party antivirus/blocking software or any software that claims to "clean" your Mac of unnecessary files?
Can you try a manual reset of EA App - https://bluebellflora.com/2024/04/04/ea-app-recovery-for-mac-reset-ea-app-by-clearing-cache-and-other-files-manually/ - melissag92 years agoSeasoned Novice
This is happening to me too, at a really bad time! I was just switching to a different macbook and tried moving everything over, was only getting the error EC108 saying the app needs to restart, so I did the suggested here manual reset, and then the EA app seemed to be working, but it didn't carry over any of my games. I did bring over the files with a hard drive but nothing was there, and now I'm back to being stuck with the same error popping up. ☹️
- @Bluebellflora hi! i was just prompted to switch to the EA app and received the same error code when i launched it. ive already given the EA app full disk access and followed the link u posted to do a manual reset. i'm not sure if this is related but i have malwarebytes installed on my macbook too.

Have you tried disabling or uninstalling malwarebytes then launching EA App?
I personally don't use any of these 3rd party apps. I've seen them cause more damage than produce any meaningful results, the "cleaning" apps being the absolute worst. - Soanad2 years agoSeasoned Veteran
3rd party apps were never an issue with Origin, yet with EA App suddenly it's a problem. So yeah, they should look into that and it's not players fault that there is some issue. To be honest EA App feels like malware with all their background processes which we don't need when we don't play.
