Please describe App refuses to log me in.
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 09/19/2023 Australian time.
Summarize your bug First I got logged out. I thought this was the usual EA App issue of logging me out several times a day so I just rolled my eyes and logged in again. Only it wouldn't let me do so. I tried clearing cache, restarting app and computer, reinstalling EA App, even disabling firewall and nothing has worked. I'm trying to play the Sims 4!
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just try logging in. You won't be able to.
What happens when the bug occurs? I get the error mentioned in the title and get sent back to the login screen.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to get into my account so I can play my games.

Not sure what else to add, I covered everything.

    @d7ead I'm on the spectrum and I really wanted to work on my Sims, so I'm really triggered by this. Why they're forcing this on Mac users is beyond me.

    this is every god damned time. EA needs to get their sh*t together, or just let me play the games i paid for without this stupid launcher. let me play offline without signing in. can't program their way out to say "Hello World" without burning the world to the ground. Fix this, it's only been 3 plus years with the same damn error.

    I have tried the app recovery as well as some none sense of using task manager to close the launcher. ALL the old fixes do not work. How much money does yawl want to bet that this doesn't get fixed for at least a month?

    Everyone here was trying to play sims 4??? I read another post, several people where trying to play sims 4, me too, and have the same issue, tried everything!

    also having this issue, I was just playing titanfall 2 when it kicked me from the game.

    tried logging back into ea app, failed (error 10005)

    tried restarting, failed

    tried logging in on other device on different network, failed

    tried the suggested password recovery page from the failed login screen (it tells me i don't have an ea account)

    was able to login through a separate support page found through password reset here (https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/)

    reset password

    did all of the above again, failed

    as far as I know, this isn't a device issue, at least for me

    fix your stuff pretty please!

    @am0ngoose_ It's clearly not a device issue no matter what they try to say. This just happened suddenly. Their servers are down for sure.

    @RickxAbsinthe43 it is clearly a server error, however i also know the servers aren't down for everyone. my friends are still on titanfall 2 as we speak. this is definitely the weirdest error i've encountered

    @am0ngoose_ Weird and frustrating. These numbers don't lie, several people are having trouble getting into their accounts. The Down Detector website lists that 100% of people who said it's not working is with login.

    This issue makes me glad I gave EA as little money as possible (bought the Mass Effect and Dragon Age games in a bundle for like $20 on Steam). I was thinking about buying Star Wars Battlefront 2, but if this problem isn't fixed by tomorrow, they won't be getting another $0.01 from me.

    Sometimes EA App "Logs in" but since it can't connect to the servers it just logs in to a blank screen. I forced it into offline immediately and tried to launch Sims 4. EA App said Sims 4 had "corrupted files" and refused to launch it. I know the files aren't corrupted, EA App and the servers are just being stupid. Weirdest issue I've ever encountered.

    I am having this issue as I well. I was playing Sims 4 and I went out out for a few moments to fix a broken mod and then I could not get back in and I continued to try using everything i knew to do and it continued to give me this error. I am beyond frustrated I was just in and now I can't get in at all.

    I just tried to go into Sims 4 and it is letting me in so it might be fixed

    @Jessica91900 Same here. My trust is shot though so I refuse to restart the app to go online in case we're being punk'd. And my files weren't corrupted either. Called it.

    @RickxAbsinthe43 @kaahSantoss Upon reviewing our forum, it's apparent that numerous players are encountering a similar problem, indicating a potential issue with the EA App. To possibly rectify this, please follow these three steps:

    1. Run the EA app as an administrator.
    2. Navigate to Help > App Recovery and select 'Clear cache'.
    3. A lot of the time this can be caused by a connection issue, would you be able to use your phone as a hotspot and use mobile data to see if you see the same issue?

    If the problem persists after trying these steps, it might be beneficial to wait a bit and try again later.
