Re: How to fix EA app Error Code EC:10005?
I have been getting the error message about the "Network failed to do Network things error EC 10005" All day today. I'm playing Mass effect Legendary Edition.
The game and EA App launcher worked fine yesterday, and in fact, have never had an issue with it before and been using it for quite some time. Booted my PC up today, this Login issue happens, regardless of what method I use to login, using linked Apps/Accounts or manually entering my account info.
I tried all the troubleshooting offered on the EA, Steam and Microsoft sites I could find (resetting network and router, clearing EA App cache, reinstalling/repairing EA App) nothing has worked so far.
I have no bans or suspensions on my account, and from what I can tell EA is not reporting any outages or connection issues that I could find that should affect me.
Interesting thing to note, if I turn on my VPN that I use for work (Using WindScribe with subscription) and connect anywhere from a neighboring city to a country on the other side of the planet...the EA App Launcher and my games work fine.
I disconnect the VPN and suddenly I start getting the error again.
I have reset all my Network settings in windows, done a clean boot several times, no effect.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
