Hi, thanks for getting back to me.  I have tried everything listed on those pages.  I even uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App again as well as my Network adapter and made sure to have it use the default settings.  I am connected via an ethernet cable.  As stated. If I enable my VPN (MY Ethernet adapter settings unchanged) I can login to the app and my games work fine.  I disconnect the VPN, and use my basic setup, like I have been for the last however many months of playing, and I am getting the error.

Update:  I got done talking with support via chat, they just provided the same information page you did, and after telling them you had already given it to me, and I had performed those checks, I sent them screenshots of my network where the App won't connect, as well as a screenshot showing the app connecting with VPN connected.  The said they sent the info along, and that I just needed to wait to see if it will get fixed soon (I hope)

When asked if I could play single player games, mainly Mass effect Legendary Edition using the VPN, at least until the issue is resolved otherwise, I was told it was against ToS and my account could be banned.  But others, including other EA support people on the forums, have said that not necessarily true, mainly that if you try to bypass purchasing restrictions or using them in multiplayer games.

So, what can I do, other than just site here with several hundred dollars of single player games sitting here that i can't play for whatever reason?

Update:  So I finished talking with chat support, they doublechecked and had me do the steps you provided again, issue still there.  I sent screenshots showing the app not working with my regular network, and one showing it working with my VPN enabled.

The said they forwarded the info along, and that I would just need to wait to see when the issue was resolved...sometime.

I was informed that no, I couldn't use my VPN to play my offline single player games (Mainly Mass Effect Legendary edition) as that is a violation of the ToS.

I'll admit I couldn't find anything specifically stating that, and have seen other people, EA reps as well other places and on these forums saying that it's not so much a violation of ToS, unless you are bypassing purchase restrictions or using a VPN in multiplayer content or games.

SO any help there would be appreciated as well to clarify.  Can I play Mass effect using a VPN since that's the only way the games and launcher work?

I tried to play the sims, but i can't even log into the Ea app, my internet is fine but EA app not opening and I'm a paying customer 🫠 when will this be fixed?

For some reason my update posts keep getting deleted or removed (this is the third time I have posted this info, I'll include a screenshot showing the previous post was successful, and i'll screenshot the posting of this one as well)  I don't know why, i'll edit certain parts of the post i guess till it works.  I will type it again here and see if it happens again.

Apparently I cannot reply or update this post with the relevant info I have acquired, as the posts keep getting deleted.

I will just say, I found a workaround, no one will tell me if I can use it since my posts keep getting deleted and chat support will not answer me.

The issue persists, chat support could not help other saying that they will forward the issue, and maybe i'll get to play the several hundreds of dollars of games I purchased...sometime...yay for me I guess?

Sorry if I sound frustrated, I have tried 3 times to update this post with information I have gathered to help fix the issue, and to just ask for further help in figuring this out and EA keeps deleting them (yes, I have saved screenshots showing the successful postings and subsequent deletions of them.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

same thing happened to me. but its kinda frustrating bc we did spend so much money on these games over the years. like if its a server thing just let us know that ya know. like cool. ill wait. but i dont think its a us thing. 

I don't know if it's a server thing though..I mean, I am guessing we don't probably live in the same town or city (that would be a weird coincidence, right? lol)  and if I use a VPN, it works..even if I select somewhere close.

i never thought about setting up a vpn for this. crazy that we even have to . like just fix it please yall . i dont want to rebuy on steam but at least steam works all of the time . 

Just be aware..aparently, I was told by chat support, using a VPN even for single player, offline games, can get you banned or suspended. So yay again, I guess.

ah well! i was going to wait it out since other people seem to be having issues too but why just a select few of us. so freaking weird. chat said that theyre forwarding it but i mean.... you know. like just let me sign in . 

Exactly...I wouldn't be so upset, but I get so little time normally to play games because of work, finally got some time off I could relax with them...and this....oh well I guess...off to Steam I suppose, that works and they have no issue if I use a VPN.

So, apparently a way around this I just found, and to NOT violate the ToS on VPN usage, is to have VPN enabled when first launching the EA App, let it log you in, then disable your VPN.  when I did that, as long as I did not close or log out of the App, I could launch my games.

Note, no VPN is enabled during any game launch or gameplay, so this should not potentially violate anything.

I recorded a video of the issue, and of me doing the fix, I'll post it here (If the system will let me) once I get it uploaded to YouTube.

Just wanted to add to the thread that I've also been having this issue. Surprised to find that it seems to be limited to a very select few

im glad its not just us. im like maybe people arent trying to get into their game quite yet oorrr . but ugh. 

I don't know if location has anything to do with any of this, but I'm in Idaho, Us (When I use my VPN to test, I can log into the app if I select Denver, Seattle, or even UK and S. Korea servers)

weird weird i dont have a vpn set up on my computer but im in pennsylvania. we're not even close but i do see more and more issues being reported but im just aggravated i just want to get into my games ya know

Even weirder...yep, we are on almost other sides of the country...and better yet...I just logged my VPN into a Pennsylvania server (2 different ones actually), and guess what...the EA App let me log in and play no issue.  retried my own location...nope, still won't let me.

I am thinking, this definitely isn't us, something is going screwy with EA and how it is validating users (or at least some of them)

I'm in Florida and it also refuses to allow me to login

yeah i have no idea what to do. its so frustrating. i just want to play my games

Just tried setting my VPN to FL server, and App let me log in just fine.  Disabled, and tried my own again...and what do you know...no luck still...

what's even funnier, in that sad way...I set my VPN to my own state and city...and it let me log in...what the heck is going on EA? I would play, but don't want to get banned for using a VPN even if its to log into my own city so I can play...
