Re: iDEAL Payment Option Unavailable on EA app and Web in NL/BE (Since Oct. 2024)

I am sorry for some issues with the Ideal payment and EA.

However, this does create a problem for those who just do not want to use Paypal (as it is a very unreliable system to start with) because of their past experiences with it or even if they have a banking account that does not allow Paypal, like I have.

I have never had any issues with Ideal and it has been a very easy payment system for me. Now... this has been taken down. This saddens me to be honest since I was looking forward to buying the expansion that is coming out today.

So... now what do we do? I have sofar been able to get all the expansions, kits, packs you name it... and this comes to an abrupt halt?

I do not have a credit card, this is the Netherlands, we do not have that system as easy as that they have in Amerika. Not all of us have the income even to be able to get it in the Netherlands either.

If possible, please fix this problem, because in all honesty... Ideal is a very highly used system in Europe and taking it down will cut off a large group of people that have enjoyed the sims for such a long time.

Not everyone have PayPal or cant use it,and other options is not possibale ,never had issues with the ideal payment option and its removed for what? No reason now me and many other players cant play with new packs or kits.please fix this thank you..

hello, paypal and credit card are not common uses of payment in the netherlands. and about 90% of people living here DO NOT have these options. so this is not a realistic solution for most of your costumers in these countries. You're leaving your costumers to miss out of sales, and pre order bonuses this way. and that is not something we're really ''understanding'' about 

Which understanding am I supposed to have for the fact that we cannot purchase anything? We do not have PayPal. We do not have Creditcards. Most Dutchies don't have this. What understanding are we supposed to have for the fact that other international sites can figure out IDeal and this international and well used corperation can't?

'We're sorry' and 'we do not have an estimate on if and when it might return' is NOT a suitable answer.

Do you wish to sell your product yes or no? If yes, bring it back. Everyone else can do it, why can't you? If no. Well, ok... sales will be lost. Since you're EA and you live for your sales I cannot imagine that losing sales is really an option you wish to be going for. You care about money first, second, and third.

What do you even mean, IF if returns? Are you actually saying that there is a possibility that you won't bring back the single most popular payment option available in the Netherlands? I am severely sorry, but are you guys out of your minds? Why on earth are you the one company that cannot figure out how to get IDeal to work on your site and app? You'd think that a place this big can have people available to sort this out.

What kind of understanding are we supposed to have for this? That you guys simply don't give half a darn?
