Re: [INFO REQUEST] How to Fix "Your Game Failed to Launch" Error in EA app?

Same here. I keep getting a message saying “Your game failed to launch: An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later.” and I’ve also had one say that the game may have been downloaded by a different account or something but mostly just the message above. It’s been a few hours for me and it’s still not launching. I don’t have any mods or cc, or any brand new kits. I have all the expansions and most gp’s so I’m thinking it’s just another issue on ea’s end. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Yes I get that error also.  I have all the expansions and many mods.  My husband found out a solution to temporally fix it (so you can play) But it will come back when you start your computer again.  

    Our temp fix:

    1. Close the EA app if you can.
    2. Go to the Task Manager (only try this if you have used the task manager before as you can do some not so nice things to your computer if you are not careful) - I'm not affiliated with EA nor the SIMS
    3. near the top it should show some EA services and possibly the SIMS 4, end the tasks (EA and The SIMS 4 only)
    4. re-start EA app and it should work fine (if not re-try again or reboot - turn it off wait 10 seconds and then start the computer)
