Re: Sims 4 error: Failed to launch game

Hi, I’m having the error “Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail” when trying to play The Sims 4 in the EA App.

I have already tried: clearing cache, repairing the game, running as administrator, uninstalling/reinstalling both the EA App and Sims 4, restarting my PC, closing background apps, and even using a VPN. I also checked account linking, and it looks correct. The issue has persisted for several days.

Can you please check my account entitlements and reset/fix anything on your end that may be blocking my game from launching?

    Hello Allanapaige4​!
    Do you happen to have any mods installed? When did the issue start exactly? 
    That could be one of the reasons why the game is not starting.

    Here's a guide for backing up and resetting The Sims 4, which should help with your problem!
    Basically, make a copy of your The Sims 4 folder, and then delete the current one so the game will create a new one when trying to boot for the first time.

    It happened to me too and I solved the problem. If you are using your own content, the problem will be in the mod or CC
