Do you fully own The Sims 3, or were you accessing your game from a previous EA Play membership that's no longer active?

Hello,
I fully own the game and 20 addons, and did so prior to having a EA Play membership via Game Pass Ultimate. However, when I click the Manage button, it gives me the option to purchase the game, as seen in the attached image below
I can confirm that i own the game and all the DLCs that i have for it. It was all working fine until a few days ago. Should your require any further information then ill be happy to give it

Thank you for those details! Please give the following a try for me:
- Open task manager, locate EA Background Service, and end task
- Clear the cache for the EA app
- Run the EA app as an administrator
- Check for any background applications blocking the EA App
- Try lowering your User Access Control Settings:
- Close the EA app
- Click the Windows button and type "UAC" in the search field
- In the User Access Control window, click and hold the slide bar —slide it to the lowest setting available
- Click Okay the bottom of the window
- Open the EA app client and try starting the download again
If these steps don't help, please run an EA Error Report following the steps here, and provide your Report ID in this thread so we can investigate further. Thank you!
After I did the cleaning cache step (even though i did it hours ago to no avail), it started downloading the base game again all of the sudden. 🙂 Will reply back when it fully works or not.
The issue has been fixed for me. 🙂
Doing this did not help for me. But over the weekend the sims 3 managed to download without any problems. I guess it was just a weird bug or something. I hope this does not happen again.
The problem is now fixed for me
