I have solved reverting the language change I made. When I switched language from spanish to mexican I started to have the problem. Reverting that change was my solution.

On top of having to sign in/accept TOS every app launch app icon disappeared from notification area
- addition: the icon appears for a split second after logging in/accepting the TOS and then disappears

app icon disappears from the taskbar when I start a game, so I can't accept invites or replay to messages.
I have to close the game for the app to appear again.
A 7 billion dollar company that can't even develop a proper game launcher. What an embarrassment.

Give this guy a medal! thanks @Sarandinga2 I reverted my language settings as well and EA app appeared in system tray again.
