Yup I do have an update. It looks like multiple players are having this issue with multiple games/platforms and there is a very large thread about this on the Microsoft forums:

I also found a Reddit thread where adding the Bluetooth antenna to the motherboard (the one that came with it) worked for some players. 

@EA_Jason The Microsoft link you provided is for connection issues on a xbox, we have PC issues. And it's not disconnecting. And for the reddit post, I've tried multiple Bluetooth sources and all have the same issue

If you look at the last few pages you can see that mainly issues with PC are being reported @B1SS_JP. 

If the issue persists, then I recommend reaching out to Microsoft/Xbox.

@B1SS_JP i'm having the exact same problem on FIFA 22. Every time i use my analogue it skips so i can't click on the thing i want. So frustrating.

Having the exact same issue, bought a new controller just for Fifa 22 and when connected via Bluetooth it's asif the down key is being pressed.  From what i've gathered there is a work around by adding fifa through steam and launching big picture mode and using your controller to launch the game however this doesn't launch in full screen using this method and if you click with your mouse or keyboard Fifa gets confused and starts pressing down again.

I have the problems of these guys I have xbox gamepass and the stick is stucked down
