A Way Out - Complete Support
Issues with download or installation
PC
Make sure that your PC can run the game. Check out the minimum requirements HERE or use Can You Run It website.
- Log in to the Origin client.
- Click My Game Library and then on your A Way Out game tile.
- If you can't find the game tile and are sure you own it, click Filter at the top-right and then Clear all filters.
- Click Download.
- Origin will detect any game updates and add them to your download queue for you.
- If your download says it’s paused, click Resume Download.
- Click Next, then agree to the End User License Agreements (EULAs) and click Next again.
- After the game downloads and installs, you’ll see a green checkmark and Completed on your game tile.
- Click it and choose Play.
PlayStation 4
Digital copies of A Way Out should install as soon as the download is done.
If the game doesn’t automatically install, try a manual install:
- Open your Notifications from the XMB, or main PlayStation menu.
- Choose Downloads and find your A Way Out download file.
- Press the Options button and select Install.

Xbox One
Digital copies of A Way Out should install as soon as the download is done.
If the game doesn’t automatically install, try a manual install:
- Go to your Download History from the main Xbox menu.
- Choose the A Way Out file, then press the menu button.
- Select Install.

Friend Pass on Xbox One
- Only Players that have XBox Live Gold Membership can download and play the trial (if invited by a player with the full game).
Friend Pass on PlayStation 4
- Only Players with a PS Plus Account can download and play the trial (if invited by a player with the full game).
Issues with connectivity (example: I cannot join my friend's session)
We highly recommend opening dedicated ports on your network connection and checking your Internet Protocol Version (IPv)!
Issues with launching the game or game crashes
PC
- Close background applications.
- Run Origin and the game as administrator.
- Use repair option in Origin.
- Troubleshoot graphics (update drivers, create gaming profile, etc.)
- Clear Origin cache.
- Reinstall Origin using CCleaner.
PlayStation 4
- Power cycle your console - turn off your PS4's power completely, wait 2-3 minutes, then power up the system and try the game again.
- Check the system updates.
- Restore licences.
- Rebuild PS4 datebase.
