A Way Out: Unable to get past dog bite after bridge escape

Unable to get past the dog on the cliff quick time event.  Doesn't matter how fast I button mash, or press the key, it still doesn't get through.  I've even tried building an easy macro to press the ...

Hey @zerotwo5166 try playing the game locally rather than co-op to see if you can get the QTE to trigger.
