Ch 8 (Exile) > Enter the Archives - Archon doesn't spawn

I failed to defeat the Archon three times, then decided to take a break and go back to complete the Lattice Fane (which I had skipped) before resuming. After completing the Lattice Fane and going back to attempt to defeat the Archon and continue progressing through the chapter, after clearing the metal memory in the room where the Archon normally spawns (and which triggers the boss spawn) … nothing. The door locks behind Jak, and there's no way of clearing the metal memory from the exit to proceed in the library.

Worst of all, the "Restart Chapter" option is disabled, presumably because I restarted the oldest auto-save in the profile(?) so rather than just having to replay this chapter to that point to get out of this trap, I'll have to start a new game unless someone can think of a way to break out of this dead end.

… For now, I'm going to try going back and finding a portal to attempt some of the other Fanes and/or areas I skipped previously and see if doing that and coming back will allow the Archon to spawn correctly.
