Fried pass isn't downloading. Download is stuck at 50%

Hello, my friend is having an issue. He has the friend pass demo version of the game and its not downloading. The download of the game is stuck at 50% and its not downloading anymore. Any suggestions how to fix this, because we don't know how to fix this.

    Now everything is good. For some reason, he had origin installed on his PC, but it didn't show up in his program list, so he just downloaded again and now it works perfectly fine!

    He finally installed the friend pass. He's on PC, but Now there's a new error, when ever my friend tries to join my game invite his Origin client goes into the background and it comes back after few seconds, but nothing happens afterwards. 

    Help please!
