Would it be possible to try putting the device in a Clean Boot or using a new Windows account to check if the same issue occurs?

We found a solution which is to have the account with friend pass to invite which does not make sense as my account is the one that paid for it.
Is this supposed to be the case?

If the issue pops back up we can try the following first.
Hi,
The game is working fine.
He able to receive invitation but without an option to accept or reject.
He is using the friend pass version
but as shown in the screenshot, he cant accept/reject the invitation from me.
when he invites me i can see this option
this shouldnt be the case.
