It Takes Two "Get the game" error during invite

having the same issue trying the fix of downloading it from the ea app

Hello, I've been trying to play It takes two with my friend. I own the game, for us to play. every time i send them an invite they get this message while in game on the friend pass. "invited you to play. install the game to join" we have tried the friends pass on steam and EA. we have uninstalled the game on both platform at tried each one again. still the same error. we check the firewall and the game has access.. this sucks. i cant return it because it has been over 2 hours trying to figure out the issue. can someone help us please?  thank you. I hope we can figure this out. she goes back to school soon and work :./ 

Hi @MotoXLight For your friends device that has the FP version, can we try the following?

• Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
• EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
• EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) 
• Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
• Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates

Me and a friend have been playing It Takes Two for a week now, and when we went to play last night, it said that my friend needs to "install the game to play", even though I own the game and they have installed the friend's pass as shown in the attachment.

We are both using Steam and have both reinstalled and verified the game files, but nothing has changed.

Thank-you for the quick reply, we will give this a try today. 

We have now fixed the issue, my friend needed to uninstall the game on Steam, and reinstall it on the EA App.
