Microsoft xbox controller not recognized in "It takes two" pc

Hello, i just bought 2 new microsoft xbox controller and connected them to my pc (tried both bluetooth and usb). The pc recognized them correctly(windows 10 64bit) and I played overcooked2 for a while(both controllers working nice here). Then i wanted to try "It takes two" but it seems no controller like is recognized. I pressed any button but nothing. Only the keyboard gives input. I tried searching in the options of the game for some settings but the isnt much, it just says the controls of the game. What can i do? I need to be able to play this game with my 2 new controllers.
