I had similiar problem. After quick chat with EA help, I recieved direct link to download "Origin", and after instalation i was finaly able to play the game.
something like this:
download.dm.origin.com/ origin/live/ OriginSetup.exe
I instaled origin over existing eaapp and now game works.
U can even run it from Origin directly.
