This is happening to me too on Steam. I've tried the fix above. It doesn't seem to work. I get a black screen after the ea originals screen and my task manager says the game has stopped responding. This started this past weekend. I was playing the game fine on Sunday and then when I loaded it up later in the day it black screens after ea originals screen. My event viewer has no errors in it from the time I load the game to the time it black screens.
Everything you mentioned happen exactly the way it happen to me i even reinstalled windows 3 times im still working on it and waiting for ea customer support to respong to my ticket this sucks I want to play what i payed for

Hi @kingodin79 @ChaosSatyr We had an update go out, I wanted to check if this continues after grabbing it?

Kind of, I am able to load the game now... yay. It told me I had corrupted data. I was able to load my save, seems like I lost some progress. I then progressed to the next kemono which was the spore tail and beat it but it immediately crashes after you decide to head to town right at the loading screen. It has done this twice now.
And now that game will not even load from steam or the ea app. I have restarted, and reverified files, one file could not be verified and then was redownloaded but the same issue occurred. So it seems we have gone from bad to worse.

HI @ChaosSatyr To confirm if you have EA Play with Steam can you try:
Steam > Properties -> DLC -> Un-check "Wild Hearts - EA Play Trial key.
Also, to confirm can you verify that the game and EA App is NOT being run as an administrator? Also, can you try adjusting your UAC controls to be set to "always notify me when..." and check if you can launch Wild Hearts without getting a windows prompt?
