Hey there,
If you had a different Xbox Account linked to your current EA account, you will not be able to link a new Xbox account. However, you can create a new EA account and link your Xbox account there and that should work without any problems as the new EA account should link correctly to your Xbox account. For further information on how to link your accounts, please see: Linking your platform accounts to your EA Account
Tell me how is your statement a solution?! It's not. Why should someone recreate a new EA account and lose the games that they purchased and have tied to their old account.
I beyond frustrated with the poor execution of just trying to link my son's Playstation account to his EA account so he can play with his friends. Due to this permanent and purposeful disconnect/unlink applied by EA, we cannot ever get him connected again when it was erroneously connected to my account as I tried to provide oversight to my son's online activity.
I realize the only oversight that I will now be providing for EA related activity is not spending a single dime with such a lousy company.
Try harder for the gamer, not the stock holders.

Hey there,
These restrictions are in place to help you keep your account safe as there are risks associated with unlinking accounts. You can learn more about the risks here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/unlink-gaming-accounts-from-ea-account/
When you unlink a platform account from your EA Account, you can link it to another EA Account, but your in-game progress won’t transfer over.
That means you’ll permanently lose access to:
- games and game progress
- DLC, expansions, and anything extra you have for your game
- memberships and subscriptions
- in-game purchases.
If you unlink your platform account and link it back to your original EA Account, you may be able to get your stuff back if you still can access the account.
