hello guys.Before the update, everything was fine. But today, my wheel is making grinding sounds it has never done it before it’s also rattling and it sounds like it’s going to brake the wheel (i'm on PC) but it also reduced the strength of my force feedback. I had the same problem on F1 22 and it literally BROKEN my G923 (fortunately still under warranty at the time). I had to wait 7 months to be able to play F1 22 with a normal FFB (none update worked). I hope it won't be the same with F1 23 because just before this patch, everything was working perfectly and I was having fun driving.

@Gaz4020 as @ScarDuck14 pointed out, the Trueforce API hasn't been enabled for Xbox platforms yet, just PC and Playstation.And it's a different SDK altogether. General FFB works via DirectInput, the issues you're experimenting has to do with it and should be addressed on their own.Trueforce is basically a different layer of feedback more akin to the haptic feedback of Dualsense controllers. They can use actual physics data and telemetry to provide that, but most cases they just feed on the audio data from the game to reproduce engine noises, rumble strips, tyre scrubbing etc via vibrations. In a way it's similar to bass shakers.TL;DR: those are FFB issues, not Trueforce issues.

@ScarDuck14 Two weeks ago I asked if the force feedback being fixed would fix the auto-save/lost-connection bug... let's see how well that question will age because there is no news whatsoever of that particular bug for Logitech users on Xbox. I have a gut feeling I'll have a perfectly functioning wheel that doesn't allow me to save.

@futuramavr This is the first time that Trueforce has been enabled on consoles. Previously it was a PC exclusive feature, F1 22 included.

People are clearly getting FFB and Trueforce mixed up though which makes it extra hard considering both are having major issues.When someone is complaining about trueforce not working theres a good chance they actually mean FFB.

aaaand... we're back with FFB problems on G923

I used to play F1 23 without FFB. After patch 1.05, even if in game, my FFB is turned off, my wheel keeps vibrating and FFB seems active. My wheel is a Logitech G923.
Please address this issue. Many other people have comunicated the same problem.

@DieuMoustachos Given how Trueforce works, it can get annoyingly loud specially when it is getting its data from the audio channel instead of the physics telemetry - and I think that's the case with F1.
Obviously descriptions like "sounds like it's going to break the wheel" suggest that this is way beyond the expected loudness.

Would you mind sharing a video or audio of the noise if you come across it again? I'll try to check with Logitech. I've got one of their wheels too and I was postponing playing F1 23 since the FFB gets sorted out, so I'm interested in what they have to say here as well.

In general, no software should be able to break a wheel. Even if the app is totally bonkers and sending signals haphazardly, the wheelbase has safety mechanisms in place that prevent it from exerting forces beyond its operating window and to shutdown if stressed - usually triggered by temps.
Then again, that's "in principle" and if Logitech confirmed that it was indeed F1 22 that broke your previous wheel, I believe it.

Just in case anyone is wondering, the G29 and G923 wheels are infamous for getting annoyingly noisy indeed. Here are a few clips of "normal" noises:
G29, clip should start at 1:20
G923, from the same video. Clip should start at 1:51
G923 on ACC, clip should start at 0:54
They can get better or worse depending on how you set it up, how you mount the wheel, and the Trueforce settings.

Hi, I play F1 23 from PS4 and after patch I have a strange noise from wheel. Someone is in my conditions? Wheel inizialization is ok and in this phase is not presente noise. In all sessions, from pit lane exit, starts noise. We need fix it urgently.

Trueforce should be adjustable on PC via Ghub. For PlayStation users there is currently no option to either adjust or disable Trueforce. We are currently looking into options that allow players to adjust these settings.

For now could you please try and lower your Audio levels and check if that might help?

@EA_rephii Yes that’s works, when the effect volume is on 0 then its over. And the wheel works fine then. But you hear nothing in the race.

Can you please acknowledge Xbox players aswell who have been having constant issues with the G923 in particular. We were Left out of the last patch. Not only is true force either not working or extremely weak. When it does work (very rare). It’s causing the game to freeze on and off for 2 seconds or so at a time
