@ShardzWeaponYes cause Ai teams upgrade their cars and exceed the pace of real world cars. Not to mention Ai on a good lap brake and accelerate with near perfect timing.
They are not humans. The Ai can only follow their coding. Be aware there is no Ai on a racing game that comes close to this games AI. It’s a case of learning and understanding how they race and adapt to it.
It’s always been a thing come season 3 the Ai seem overpowered. But you also have to take into account they also upgrade their 2nd driver facilities which effect all Ai drivers Topping out at 100. So it’s possible most or all Ai drivers pace is 100. (This is something I and the rest off the community hate)
If you find them to fast reduce Ai difficulty. No shame in it
- Meza9942 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 In addition to this its also unrealistic car development, like without engine upgrades the normal improvement rate IRL will likely be around 0.5s maximum closer to 1 second if they really find something (talking about average, not single tracks) whilst in the game its not unusual that times improve closer to 2 seconds which also makes it more difficult to adapt to the cars in the short time instead of only reaching like 1.12.2 at Imola only in the 6th season or so - though IMO the limit should be lower than that anyway for gameplay reasons but thats just me

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I’m only a casual player using a controller and I just felt they seemed insanely good. I don’t have time to spend perfecting every track to the millimetre but I do have a good grasp of the game so might turn the difficulty down to somewhere that more matches my level.
just didn’t seem right as I was competing well on that difficulty since my first season. I figured the AI would get to max R&D and plateau there not continue onwards to godly levels haha

Plus engine upgrades are not allowed in real F1 so I think EA and Codebreakers should more reflect what is happening to the real world regs and instead of ignoring Career and My Team this year they should have atleast kept up to the regs.
I think the upgrade system needs a complete overhaul anfd stop this massive jump in performance which as we know does not happen in Real world.
Yes I know and before you say it . it is only a game but the more we are to the real world regs and performance the better the game is.
Please give us a decent Career Mode and My Team next year other wise we all will go to Assetto Corsa 2 no news on this at the moment 18 months is a long time to wait.
I have just got back into it the only real down side is you cant save game.
If you are happy with single short races it is fine oh and ( 26000 + ) Mods and counting what a game was that 10 years ago ?

Nobody knows what AI difficulty you play with, and nobody needs to know. Set them according to the challenge you want for yourself, and whatever that number is, you're correct.

I have reduced AI difficulty as it is not possible for me to compete even for points anymore even though I’m the best car on the grid.
this might be something codemasters need to address as players shouldn’t have to keep adjusting their difficulty. If anything you should be needing to put it higher as your car and r&d progress. Not reduce.

@ShardzWeaponThe Ai team also increase R&D aswell as Ai drivers get better also.
It actually makes more sense for the game to get harder as we progress. Especially as there is a large chunk of players that already play the Ai on 110. Makes no sense for it to get easier as by season 3 it will be to easy for them.
It’s not perfect. Far from it but with the career lasting ten seasons it’s a way off keeping it interesting
