AI Inhumanely Fast in Career

I’m currently on my 4th season only on 93 difficulty and the AI seen crazily strong. I just finished qualifying at Imola with 1.13.8 at about 14th on the grid.

AI pole position time was 1.12.2 I checked the online time trial leaderboards and the top was 1.13.0ish..

is it normal for AI to be nearly a second faster than the top time in the world? Considering I’m only on 93 difficulty I could understand MAYBE if I was on 110 but I feel they are insanely good for only a 93 difficulty.

Hoping to hear others are facing this issue

  • Plus engine upgrades are not allowed in real F1 so I think EA and Codebreakers should more reflect what is happening to the real world regs and instead of ignoring Career and My Team this year they should have atleast kept up to the regs.

I think the upgrade system needs a complete overhaul anfd stop this massive jump in performance which as we know does not happen in Real world.

Yes I know and before you say it . it is only a game but the more we are to the real world regs and performance the better the game is.

Please give us a decent Career Mode and My Team next year other wise we all will go to Assetto Corsa 2 no news on this at the moment 18 months is a long time to wait.

I have just got back into it the only real down side is you cant save game.

If you are happy with single short races it is fine oh and ( 26000 + ) Mods and counting what a game was that 10 years ago ?

  • initial release date of Assetto Corsa 19 December 2014.

@tn132 I agree with this. Especially once you get over 100 AI. Maybe that is how they want it but the only way to get close to their straight line speed at levels over 100 is to run really low wings. Good luck with stability in corners but the AI don't suffer.

If I remember correctly, I thought David G. said in F122 the AI used what ever setup is selected as the default for the track. If this is true then it is very easy to prove the AI have less drag on straights with equal downforce in corners.
  • current earnings to date for Kunos 104 million pounds.

Eat your heart out EA have a look at it you might learn something.

@ShardzWeaponWith how the current system work, it's going to be very tricky for casual players to find the right difficulty setting after season 1 (because of how much the AI drivers improved from their hidden facility boosts).

From my personal experience of past games, I usually had to drop at least 5 points (from 100-110) on the difficulty setting for many tracks from season 2 onward. Also, unless your teammate is also hitting 100 ratings from the facility boosts, don't use him as your standard for setting difficulties, or else you're gonna struggle real bad against other teams since most of their drivers are near maxed out at that point.

Am I being silly or could we just not update the Facilities that affect driver performance (the Personnel ones?), to stop AI drivers getting this huge advantage?

@asports123Unfortunately not. We’ve been asking for a few years to disable them but so far it’s fallen on deaf ears

you can for your own teammate in My team.  But not for the other Ai drivers
