@kevin16072002 Could you give examples of your setups (with the specific track it was used on) when you feel the AI is OP in a straight line? Also the difficulty you are playing at would be interesting to know as so far the theories go for 100-110 AI
  • @Meza994 Not quite examples, but I believe that the AI use the balanced setup everywhere. Like at Qatar I can lap 1 or 2 seconds faste than the AI, but they end up absolutely smoking me on the main straight because everyone uses close to max wings there. Same at Monaco. Ideally the AI could use the same setup as you to make the straight line speed and cornering speed much more similar

@NemesisGmng Biggest problem for us humans is the Ai are perfectly smooth in and out off corners. Lap after lap. Accelerating without so much as a hint off rear wheels slipping. Where the majority of us can’t match that kind of consistency.

I’m off the opinion it’s irrelevant what setup the Ai use. As Ai setup is the same regardless of Ai difficulty. Increasing difficulty just increases Ai pace. Doesn’t make them drive any better

Problem i find is they are way too slow through mid and fast corners. But straight line speed is decent. So if I want them to match my lap times. I have to increase Ai. Which dramatically increases their straight line speed. I’d prefer if they just went faster through corners

@NemesisGmng In my experience the AI use a setup somewhere around the default setup for each track, for Qatar for instance thats balanced which is far too low downforce though i personally dont use maximum downforce but thats a different story.. Its not always matching the time trial setups but those arent realistic either.. For a race AI setups might actually be closer to what they would use IRL, they dont go for the fastest setup over one lap irl but for the best race setup (on most tracks) which includes enough straight line speed to overtake, to recover enough energy, to not overheat the tyres with the pure load generated in the corners but also high enough downforce to not wear them out too fast and maintain a good pace
