@Neomo rendering method limits Antialiasing availability, but from what I can tell it's the same base engine as their other titles. Why there isn't FXAA and MSAA available I don't know. But I'm not part of the programming team for the game so I can't know.

@void_snw There's still a hidden CMAA2 anti-aliasing option in the hardware_settings_config.xml that might be worth exploring, should be miles better than the default TAA anyway.
- void_snw3 years agoRising Scout@dotazured Tried it, looks utterly terrible. Smeary weird and almost worse than no Antialiasing. Forcing FXAA through GPU drivers looks miles better at this point.

what was already a problem in the last games is the anisotropic filtering that sometimes showed practically no function, which caused a pixel mush from a certain distance, because the textures were not sharpened.
When I forced it via driver, the game went crazy and crashed again and again.
Is it maybe the same problem here? - void_snw3 years agoRising Scout@zombie182 That shouldn't be the case here, as it happens equally on angled and flat areas and is "fixed" by disabling game AA through config file and forcing other AA through driver.
