Controller vibrates randomly

Product: F1 23
Platform:Xbox Series X
Please specify your platform model. Microsoft Xbox Series X
Summarize your bug Controller (tried Xbox One, Xbox Elite Series 1 and Xbox Seires X controllers) vibrates randomly on specific areas of the track. Something specific triggers this bug, since sometimes it takes a few races/laps for it to start happening constantly. Happens on every mode except Time Trial. Changing FFB settings doesn’t help unless you turn them off complitely. The vibration is pretty strong no matter what the settings are.
What is your 16 digit Report Code? DHPA-PBTV-SXGA-GCJG
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider?
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I have no idea why I seem to be the only one here having this bug. To me it just happens every time I play the game. Regardless of what settings I use, unless I disable ffb complitely.
What happens when the bug occurs? Controller and both triggers vibrate aggressively on specific parts of the track, most noticeably on straights, every lap once the bug is triggered. The vibration feels the same as wheel spin or wheel lockup. If this happens under braking or acceleration it’s messes up the feel complitely.
What do you expect to see? A fix.

Also, Increasing ride height doesn’t have an impact. Doesn’t happen on Time Trial.

EDIT: Clip of the issue:

EDIT2: The issue is caused by other cars’ ffb being reflected on my car. Meaning when AI cars collide with each other, the ffb that the collision produces is being sent to my car and to my controller. On the straights on high speeds other cars being near me usually vibrates my controller as well.

  • I’ve tried reinstalling the game trying all types of assist combinations, setup combinations, ffb settings and nothing seems to fix this.

It’s strange that I’ve seen no one else have this. This is really frustrating and complitely messes up the feel of the car.

  • Still happening after Patch 1.09. It only happens in races. I have never had the bug in Time Trial, which is pretty weird.

I’ve tried pretty much everything I can on my end to get rid of the bug (uninstalled the game, updated controller firmware, tried the game with a new profile with fresh data and settings). Since I haven’t heard anyone else mention this I thought it might be a problem on my end but it really does seem like a bug in the game after everything I’ve tried.

If you can think of something else I should try please, let me know.

  • This is still happening on the new patch. Here’s a clip of what it looks like.

Again, happens on every controller (Xbox series, Xbox One, Elite series 1, wireless and wired) Totally ruins the experience. Any help is much appreciated.

  • I think I’ve found out the problem that’s causing this. I can feel the ffb of other cars on my car.

When AI cars make contact near me (on each other, not on my car) my controller rumbles very hard. This is really noticeable on slow corners. The heavy vibration on the straights might be caused by the other cars’ downforce, which is pushing the car down, multiplied on my car if that makes sense. But usually if other cars are near me on the straights I get constant vibration.

This is the reason why on Time Trial I have never experienced this problem.

Could someone on EA look at this please?

  • Still an issue after patch 1.12. Could someone please look at this. Because this is 100% an issue with the game.

Yeah. It happens to me too and yes, it's the feedback from Ai crashing into each other or the wall, and yes it happens in multiplayer modes too

  • Still not fixed. Can you developers look at this before you start working on the next year’s game?

@Dinaatio This would have been passed on to the developers. So they would have had a look at it. Don’t get your hopes up for a fix. I know for fact they have replicated major gameplay issues I raised with them months ago. But I also know they are not going to fix them. Sorry but unless they fix your FFB issue by accident it won’t be fixed. As this game will be left to die as F1 24 is their priority
