Summarize your bug: Driver market / transfers during seasons with 23 races (possibly odd numbered in general) are rigid in offering mid-season renewals for drivers a 12 race contract, and for the AI apparently 22 races. This leads to a series of silly moves prior to the final race, and driver retirements occurring prematurely. For example, Fernando Alonso sitting in 5th, 3 points ahead of Charles Leclerc will not contest to keep that spot. Charles took his seat. This leads to a domino of moves, Lando to Ferrari, Albon to McLaren, Perez to Williams, Stroll to RBR, Pour haire to Aston, K-Mag and Russel switch seats, Sainz to Haas, Bottas to Ferrari, Hulk to Alfa Romeo. All with points and championship placings to be decided in the final race. This is likely to have a rolling effect on subsequent seasons, with next pair of negotiations potentially being after season 2 rounds 11 and 23, the following pair for season 3 round 12 and then round 1 of season 4, then the next pair being season 4 at round 13 and hanging over to round 2 in season 5, and so on.

What happens when the bug occurs?: All sorts of driver market craziness at the least appropriate time, potentially leading to world championship outcomes being messed up.

What do you expect to see?:
Implement the 2nd half of season contract period to match the number of remaining races on the calendar. so if it's a 23 race season and contracts renew after round 12, the mid-season contracts signed should run for 13 rounds or end of season only.
