I race in cockpit view and honestly didn't know before posts like yours that looking left and right was even an option. Need to check if it is on PS5 now but it's perfectly possibly to drive without this. Not saying this shouldn't be fixed though.

If it was perfectly fine to drive without looking left or right, go tell Lewis or Max to rip their mirrors off as they don't need them! Could save on weight too!
Seriously?

@AnthonyLee59 Now you're overreacting. He probably was using virtual mirror or just the look behind button.

I also drive with cockpit view and never used such things as looking left or right.
I change POV to see some part of mirrors (for checking on DRS) and use proximity arrows. And those are quite sufficient,I'd say.
I don't like that travesty called "rear view mirror" (F1 car is not a hatchback! 😉) and I would be too distracted to use "look back", too.

Good morning Champions and EA Team, Codmasters and all involved in development!
My first question would be are or is there plan to update drivers line up as I would love to see our beloved Honey Badger 🦡 Mr. Ric on the grid not only that we have got him back in real F1 but in our Game! As Nick Devries suck to be frankly always last no points F*ng *… like would have said Mr Guenther hehe Genius
And second thing, can we have like real drivers helmets with sponsors as we have in game but for GP season, I myself and rest of community would love to have that ability to use those beautiful helmets in career mod and being able to use them on out our profile drivers, like you did with Max Helmet from Miami, as the ones we got, sorry to say are blend and boring near same thing year after year same type of helmets designs you provided they just near same not much change in that regards, no sponsors just Color’s and boring visors with no colour coded protection, only one type of helmet model…I mean if I race for Ferrari let’s say I would like to have helmet that matches the car and let’s say I would like to have iconic Charles Leclerc helmets to select from like for example the ones he used at Monaco back in 2020 or 2021 why not to give this to us!? Why not give us that like achievements or rewards system in events or levels to unlock iconic items of the drivers suits gloves helmets.. you got the ideaHow many people in community and recedepartnent modding community I read trough mods request comments and requests themselves and I see lots of people asking for this type of features.
read people comments and requests

100% serious. I race using cockpit view and have never used look left/right or the rear view mirror. I'm not sure there are enough button mapping options on console for look left/right to be a realistic option when racing but haven't checked back to the game to see but my suspicion is that all console players drive without this. It would of course be nice to have though. As I said I wasn't saying that it shouldn't be fixed for those used to this. However it's not true that cockpit view is immediately unplayable without this.
For info. I do have the 'look to apex' camera setting on max. but otherwise rely on the proximity arrows.
- 2 years ago@Ultrasonic_77 Some of us (me) like to play it as close to real life as possible without aids on, without magical floating in the air arrows that tell us where cars are around us, without using a floating vanity mirror to see behind us, without using T-cam view as sitting up there in real life would require very long arms and legs to reach the wheel and pedals... Some of us like to emulate the reality of F1 or at least get as close as possible to that. I'm pretty sure real life drivers use mirrors to see what's going on around them..

I detest this attitude certain types of people have, that if THEY don't need something, then it isn't a thing that needs fixing, and anyone asking for it to be fixed is somehow overreacting. I bought a sim rig, meticulously set up my wheel and rig to have as realistic an experience as possible, and having the equivalent of a concrete neck brace on is utterly immersion ruining.
