@SomaticCoast375I think it's intentional, as you can abuse it otherwise by going into pits and for example overtaking in the pit lane over the finish line - and due to how the track is done IRL, there is likely no easier way of avoiding abuse.Surely this abuse can’t be solved by a gamecode. 🙄
I'm unsure if you're trying to be sarcastic or not. But no, it's not that simple.
Pit zone area in any racing game is relatively simple to do - you designate pit zone, designate driving lines and pit boxes (in case of Codies games, for the automatic entry and exit lines) and designate general behavior in different sessions if necessary (for practice/qualifying and race). The more you try to make some, er, "special" scenarios, the more you increase the chance of that breaking - case in point, multiple pit entry/exit glitches over the recent years in Codies F1 games.
In Real Life, it's actually a lot simpler, because there are stewards watching it live and they announce even before the weekend about this behavior so teams don't even try it.
In the game, you would have to introduce some sort of "final lap" indicator, which would have to work over ALL the different distances (3 laps, 5 laps, 25%, 35%, 50%, 100% + Sprint distances) which then has to sync up properly over multiplayer with everyone for example, which introduces potential cases of lag, desync and other stuff. In general, it's just easier to instead make the pitlane entry earlier and/or have the speed lower (even if it's not realistic) to fix the potential abuse scenarios instead of trying to make a special scenario and how the game should react.
So no, it's not that simple. But, someday, maybe there will be a proper solution to this situation.

Tend to spend a lot of my time in Time Trial mode - are all the times wiped after each patch/update?
No, not usually. It does happen occasionally though, usually when an update changes what times are achievable. In this case it appears to be a somewhat brute force method to remove inappropriate times that were apparently possible due to a game bug.
I got taken out in my first ranked race after 2 laps and left the session, rather felt like playing instead or watching after a long day. (That needs to be fixed as well, because it's unbelievable that clean drivers get overly punished).
But anyway. Now whenever I load F1 world, I get an error saying "The game was interrupted while downloading F1 world data, therefore you have been disconnected from the online services. Please reconnect to try again".
Unfortunately that doesn't work. Reinstalling and clearing cache doesn't fix this issue either.
F1 world data is stored on the EA side. The problem seems to occur on their end.
I don't mind bugs if they HAVE to be present. But I can't play ranked now. Very annoying, very frustrating, and very done with all these issues with no (quick) fixes.
Hello All,
Am I the only one to have these big pixels during night races ? I think I didn't had them before the update :
I play on PS5.
Thanks in advance.
Julien
Y'all reset the F1 leaderboards but not the F2? They're glitched as well and full of F1 car times.
@OgoshaiIt's not just you. This has been an issues since launch and for some reason annoys me a lot. I mentioned it earlier in the discussion and I agree it looks worse than it did before. I'm glad you shared a screen shot of it. The screen shot has to be taken while the game is moving and not paused.
I see you are on PS5 so this won't help....The only fix for this on PC is to install the mod that removes fog in night races. You can get it at the link below:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/no-fog-at-nightraces-semimomods.61708/
You will also need this mod with it:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/semi-modular-mods-base-files-semimomods.61598/
Once installed night races are clear and look amazing. Now more pixelation around the halo.
Not sure why CM couldn't have adjusted the amount of fog in night races until the glitch was fixed. Why is the OSD so obnoxious? the sizes are too large and in your face stopping you from being able to see what's in front of you. every year it seems to be getting worse, and with no mouse support the reorganization is frustrating. Guys please... you are making it hard for us to defend you.
- @EA_rephii Force feedback for PS5 Logitech G923 still not working. Same thing every update, works for the first race then doesn’t work again until the next update. It’s been almost 40 days…
was handling model of realistic performance of cars changed?? I used same setup...and realistic rb on timetrial feels so different to drive..like there is no grip ..
used 11 11 wings at monza..yesterday I did 1 18 431
today Barly into 1 18 5...something has changed with realistic performance...and rb was always faster then equal car..maybe downforce input of car was changed???
and on PS you have to reconnect g923...because if you start game connected with wheel there is no Force..but then when you reconnect wheel..it starts to work..but like there is forced wheel setup..if you change degree..it doesn't work ..360° to 310 its the same...
hope to get some answers
