How is it possible that EA releases a new patch and does not fix the weak FFB issue in the Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel on PS5.
It is fixed on PC and Xbox.
How long are we going to have to wait to get strong FFB on our platform?
Can someone give me an explanation of what is happening please.@krakenv3pro I'll pin the two most important points of how I feel towards this whole matter in the following bulleted paragraphs:
- It's inadmissible that the most ubiquitous pieces of racing hardware out there (Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels) are facing issues of this order and this frequency in the game. Even basic functionality is affected, and the reports are numerous. Features like Trueforce should be enabled and working from the release day, FFB should not cut off mid session, FFB should be able to use the full torque range of these wheels, etc.
- All of this make for such a frustrating experience that I can't even be bothered to set up the rig just to play F1. I just can't conceive spending 10-15 minutes to get my rig in place, set up the chair, lock the casters, connect all cables etc etc just to roll a dice on whether I'll get proper FFB on F1 23. I am again in one of those phases where I mostly play simracing games, so I do this whole ordeal most days of the week, but I'll just end up playing iRacing and ACC. Played a lot of F1 23 during the beta programme and love the handling, but I cannot bring myself to even boot the game without the guarantee that I'll get basic functionality out of it.
That said, it is not just one guy or team working on fixes. The fact they added "Replay Event" to F1 World does not mean they stopped working on the FFB issues for this patch, and whoever sorted the Jeddah pit lane speed limit could hardly contribute anything to the issue of Trueforce audio not being adjustable in the game settings.
There's a pipeline for support tasks and multiple people working on those, simultaneously. Different tasks and projects get done at different rates, get QAed at different rates, and thus get added to the patches as they get completed. If they had stopped working on or delayed shipping all the fixes and features that made it to 1.08 patch, the FFB issues would had hardly been impacted in any way – it would probably just make for an even more inefficient post-release support.
Again, we should have FFB working properly on release, so there's nothing acceptable about the situation we're in. But having other, unrelated fixes shipped out before EA get their FFB issues straight is beside the point.
@Liaveal90% of the issues can be fixed by simply removing the 100 rating cap for all Ai drivers, the rest of the 10% are just balancing works related to what personnel facilities Ai teams get at the beginning of the career.
They could've just preset every team's PF at tier 0 on season 1, so they need to make progress just like the players do. This change would help make the entire game mode more fresh because significant driver improvements could be seen from different team from season to season, and it will even fixed the problem of your F2 driver being completely useless on the first year because there wasn't any boosts on the Ai team to widen the gap further.
5/10/15 is actually totally fine if they do all these, or else the effects are simply too insignificant for the entire feature to even exist in the first place.Still NO FFB in multiplayer sessions: Thrustmaster T300 ... in a 70$ copied game from last year. Shame.
Glad to see the start time for Bahrain corrected. However the unnecessary abundance of fog and volumetric lighting still looks absolutely horrible in cockpit view. Objects that traverse over the fog are smeared and the halo on the car is pixelated around the edges. How is this not listed as being investigated? It was reported numerous times in the first couple of weeks after launch. Now I have to reinstall the mod that removes fog in night races.
it says Patch 1.0 on the loading screen to me
Also all TT Times are gone

I've checked this after the patch, and I am still able to perform this.Which wheel are you currently using and have you tried different button mapping on the wheel for the left and right view?
same here for left-right, although the way it works is changed from a slower pan to a quicker immediate shift with a smaller angle of change.
I actually prefer the quick flick - the pan was too slow to be really useful in the heat of racing. Being able to adjust the angle might be nice (haven’t checked to see if that’s an option) and based on the vid posted it may be affected by other cam settings - I see movement but not as much as for me
Well, it may be only visual but many items in the podium pass have had their icon removed. Description for what you get or have already unlocked is still there but picture box is empty of the item. As well, I noticed all of the goals in the F1 World section have been locked... Requiring me to do 5 races to unlock goals! I've been playing the game with early access before actual release... So, I obviously had the goal section already unlocked before todays patch!!! I guess, this means all milestones have been reset now too!!!
Still no trueforce on Logitech g pro wheel or no working led rev lights on wheel base on Xbox

@SomaticCoast375I think it's intentional, as you can abuse it otherwise by going into pits and for example overtaking in the pit lane over the finish line - and due to how the track is done IRL, there is likely no easier way of avoiding abuse.Surely this abuse can’t be solved by a gamecode. 🙄
- @EA_rephii This also is the case using the default controller settings on a PS4. The stick only now moves just slightly right and left, and no longer up or down in cockpit view. I cannot even look far enough anymore to see into side mirrors!
