@fazerinho wrote:Hi Everyone,
I was really looking foward to download and check the newest patches as I do really like how the visual of the cars are changing, paint jobs being polished etc. which I believe went very well. Nice job. But on the other hand I simply cannot believe that anyone is testing the patches as we do have a new bug on Spain which was already mentioned by a few drivers. Please find attached my example. I tried multiply cars, different angles, gears etc. in order to be able to simulate that invisible wall/bump bug. This is ridiculous. Imagine that any of you hardly manage to run a better track time or just simply do Grand Prix, Career or even League Race and got crashed because of that. EA. Seriously. Please release a hotfix and involve us into the patch testing deeper than now. I can also imagine that you could run some kind of "test environment" in order to find these bugs together.
Link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKm0_RhkdVgThere is also another issue which does not connected to the newest patch but still being in the game which are the different collison modells for each cars. Right now as far as I know the Alpha Tauri is nearly impossible to get any damage which is also nonsense.. some of the cars like Red Bull, Alpine, Ferrari are much fragile compared to the AT... When we can expect any kind communication regarding these? When you are going to fix this also? During a leauge race it can be decisive who will be a champion/winner whatelse if somebody does not driving the AT but other car...
Can you please advise a deadline when you are going to fix these problems not mentioned the others?
Regards,
Adam/fazer
Is that video a joke?😱 so Spain is undriveable.
i just returned from (another) ban because being too critical and having an opinion gets you banned over here as a way to silence you when the truth hurts apparently.
anyways again a lack of TESTING PATCHES before release
it’s becoming more hilarious than annoying I have to admit. Just because of failure after failure and I’m beyond of being pissed of, i feel sorry for Codemasters and EA because of how pathetic it’s becoming how they can’t manage to even release 1 working patch wothout destroying things and NOT TESTING THEM!
what a bunch of amateurs!🤣🤣🤣 (ban incoming!🤪)

1) No matter how you look at it, F1 23 is a failure of a game in my view. I've been calling it F1 22.5 from time to time, but even that is a stretch
2) I cannot and have not recommended this franchise for a while now
3) The post-launch support this game has had is atrocious
4) I have never ever seen in my life as a "Champion" seen someone being banned for being "too critical and having an opinion" or because their "truth hurts". Never. I have seen warnings and suspensions given for those that have no tact to differ from being critical to being uncivil though – two completely distinct things.
For all Codemasters failings, the CMs I've personally seen working on this boards have all done their job irreproachably. For whatever it's worth, the day I see someone being banned for reasonable albeit harsh criticism will be the day I'll be giving this site a solemn goodbye.
God knows it is most definitely not the game that has made me hang around for so long.

My game still crashes when I access friends...Seriously!?

Any How Ice… if I can call you that 😁 Mario as always is right. It’s not that you criticise it’s the manner in which you do. It’s not just being straight talking and to the point. EA believe it or not welcome constructive criticism about their games and do pass it on to their developers. But they have zero tolerance when people post calling out not just their staff but any and everyone: Yes you’re angry about the state off the game along with the rest off us. But it does no one any good ranting and raving.
I promise you us champions are no simps and with great support from the community managers tell EA straight pretty much on a daily bases the issues we have. - 2 years ago

Whatever you say. I have tried nice for years already since the old forums, but no matter how nice you are, you will be ignored and treated like garbage.
so mister nice guy has left long ago, how do they say it? Cause and effect? As long as they treat all of us like we’re no better than garbage, I will treat them with the same “kindness”
whether it’s called a ban or suspension, i do not care.
and yes i have called out Lee Mather for all his blatant lies, but if the guy on top behaves like this, it only tells more about everyone below him. And am I wrong to call him a liar when he states a game has been 2 years in development while it’s a copy paste of the one 2 years before with the EXACT SAME BUGS as the 2 year release before that (2020 had all the same bugs as 2018)
didn’t he say, no PROMISE that anti cheat is coming? Almost half a year in, and NOT A WORD about progress or whatever.
i’m done with the lies and false promises, and being treated like trash, so should everyone else here who feels the same way. Nice doesn’t cut it, they did it to themselves.
and I don’t care what anyone thinks of me or my response. I have been a F1 fan for over 28 years, and I hate to see a studio dragging a great sport like this through the mud.
they don’t care about making a game that actually reflects the QUALITY of the sport or what these cars are capable of, they just use years old engines, shove some crap like supercars or sofa’s in it, while the whole basics are trash and gets worse each patch. Take spain! That bump? AMATEURISM! Even beginner level programmers know TO TEST STUFF BEFORE RELEASING. And it’s not one patch, they break stuff EVERY PATCH! And we live in 2023, the online part of this game and the netcode is so ancient that it feels like we’re on dial-up in stead of fiber internet, and then EA has the balls to blame OUR side of the connection. While the same issues persist EVERY.SINGLE.DAMN.RELEASE. That’s called sticking your head where the sun doesn’t shine. And in this age online is such a big part of gaming that their main focus should be online design.that’s how much they “care” about quality. Season pass has become more trash, no cosmetics anymore, all they want is money, while delivering a subpar game and have the balls to charge AAA price for it while it’s not even worth more than indieegames and that’s actually disrespectful to indie studios because they at least care about delivering a QUALITY game THAT WORKS. And they test everything.
but a big studio simply doesn’t care, they want your money and further we need to shut up.
i’m hoping from the bottom of my heart all this reaches someone within FOM/F1 and they lose the license so a studio who actually gives a damn about QUALITY can give us what we deserve and pay for.
and we can force their hand by collectively boycotting F1 by EA/Codemasters from now on and not buying anymore. Don’t fall for the lies, don’t trust them anymore. We speak with the wallet and when they don’t make any money, CHANGE MUST COME!

What an embarassing debacle, F1 23 is already the last entry I'll purchase from these frauds and by this point everyone should be in the same boat.
I won't be purchasing another Codemasters game full stop because the studio is actually pathetic at this point, hope they get shut down in typical EA fashion so F1 fans don't have to tolerate this soulless garbage any longer.

Hello everyone,
The team is aware of the issues in Spain and they are being investigated.
Sorry for the inconvenience

I couldn't agree anymore. I feel like it's the best game, yet the worse in terms of being broken, all at the same time. More times than not, I'm restarting the game because ffb for some reason just stops to work when moving from F1play to career mode, or the deletion of all our ffb settings. I could sit here all day and talk write a list of things that don't work. The goals feature, finally works. What's bothersome to me is the constant silence coming from ea about all these issues. Stinks arrogance to me, as they know we'll be right back buying next years game. I seriously need to show some restraint for next years game as I really don't want to purchase it. Here's to hoping I don't put myself through this next year.

I'm so fed up of the responses from EA. It's easy to say that they read our complaints and take them very seriously, or that they even welcome feedback, but when is this ever acknowledged? When do we have things change? You extended the last season by 2 weeks and didn't tell anyone, so people had already stopped playing due to the Elite Racer bug. Then, it turns out you had actually patched the bug without telling anyone. It isn't even on the patch notes.
The only selling point for 23 was the new handling model. That's what got people to move on from 22. Other than that we have braking point 2 and F1 world, which was embarrasingly overhyped.
The ranked mode is atrocious. The declining player rate week by week should show how unfun and miserable it is to play. I have said it constantly, at least with GT7 their penalty system is somewhat fairer, and you can't have your race ruined by absolute idiots taking you out (your damage regenerates in that game). What motivation or end goal do we work towards playing the online mode? A 20% increase in XP in Elite Rank? For a podium pass that has stupid currencies and stickers in? What happened to customisation?
The career mode is a copy paste. There are so many suggestions people give every year but quite literally nothing has changed since last year. It's the exact same menus/UI with different colours.
I am a guide writer for trophy hunting. I have done the past few F1 games. This year, there has been so far 9 trophies that are bugged all to hell. Especially the one for getting to Elite rank, that took months to get fixed (today). I completely appreciate trophies aren't a priority at all but every other game will quite happily make an effort to patch them. (I would love to speak to someone more about these problems instead of making a thread for each one that's bugged).
The number 1 problem is the silence. Little acknowledgement about problems and plans to do good on them. Each patch just brings new problems.
This Spain bump issue is rightfully having a big deal made out of it. Is it by itself a minor problem? Yes. But it is just concrete proof that these games don't get play tested. Did somebody just move the bump out of the pitlane and call it a day? Nobody bothered doing a few laps?
I would love to be someone to represent player concerns on a much more civil level. Like an actual official route of communication to developers, maybe with a middleman in-between. I was somewhat successful doing this by fighting for months about the Elite Racer trophy on another thread. When I have to resort to complaining like this it feels this is the only way for all of us to band together and make a statement against these games. F1 24 could easily be built around the main problems of this game.
Like with FIFA, I'm sure EA know that each year people will just buy the game anyway. However due to the smaller fanbase with F1 games I am starting to see less and less interest. Especially from YouTubers who are really struggling to continue making content for these games. Even the eSports scene is a mess.
F1 world is also only good for beginners imo. It eases them into the systems pretty well but for long-time players, the upgrade system makes 0 difference on how events unfold. A low level car feels the exact same as a high level car. The only events worth doing as well are the pro racer challenges to unlock liveries.
One thing to praise? braking point. I actually enjoyed that. Wasn't revolutionary storytelling but kept me entertained. But after playing that, could not care less now. If the career mode was actually different then I would be playing that until the next entry. Certainly won't be playing any more online after being forced to get to Elite Rank twice.
