I couldn't agree anymore. I feel like it's the best game, yet the worse in terms of being broken, all at the same time. More times than not, I'm restarting the game because ffb for some reason just stops to work when moving from F1play to career mode, or the deletion of all our ffb settings. I could sit here all day and talk write a list of things that don't work. The goals feature, finally works. What's bothersome to me is the constant silence coming from ea about all these issues. Stinks arrogance to me, as they know we'll be right back buying next years game. I seriously need to show some restraint for next years game as I really don't want to purchase it. Here's to hoping I don't put myself through this next year.

I'm so fed up of the responses from EA. It's easy to say that they read our complaints and take them very seriously, or that they even welcome feedback, but when is this ever acknowledged? When do we have things change? You extended the last season by 2 weeks and didn't tell anyone, so people had already stopped playing due to the Elite Racer bug. Then, it turns out you had actually patched the bug without telling anyone. It isn't even on the patch notes.
The only selling point for 23 was the new handling model. That's what got people to move on from 22. Other than that we have braking point 2 and F1 world, which was embarrasingly overhyped.
The ranked mode is atrocious. The declining player rate week by week should show how unfun and miserable it is to play. I have said it constantly, at least with GT7 their penalty system is somewhat fairer, and you can't have your race ruined by absolute idiots taking you out (your damage regenerates in that game). What motivation or end goal do we work towards playing the online mode? A 20% increase in XP in Elite Rank? For a podium pass that has stupid currencies and stickers in? What happened to customisation?
The career mode is a copy paste. There are so many suggestions people give every year but quite literally nothing has changed since last year. It's the exact same menus/UI with different colours.
I am a guide writer for trophy hunting. I have done the past few F1 games. This year, there has been so far 9 trophies that are bugged all to hell. Especially the one for getting to Elite rank, that took months to get fixed (today). I completely appreciate trophies aren't a priority at all but every other game will quite happily make an effort to patch them. (I would love to speak to someone more about these problems instead of making a thread for each one that's bugged).
The number 1 problem is the silence. Little acknowledgement about problems and plans to do good on them. Each patch just brings new problems.
This Spain bump issue is rightfully having a big deal made out of it. Is it by itself a minor problem? Yes. But it is just concrete proof that these games don't get play tested. Did somebody just move the bump out of the pitlane and call it a day? Nobody bothered doing a few laps?
I would love to be someone to represent player concerns on a much more civil level. Like an actual official route of communication to developers, maybe with a middleman in-between. I was somewhat successful doing this by fighting for months about the Elite Racer trophy on another thread. When I have to resort to complaining like this it feels this is the only way for all of us to band together and make a statement against these games. F1 24 could easily be built around the main problems of this game.
Like with FIFA, I'm sure EA know that each year people will just buy the game anyway. However due to the smaller fanbase with F1 games I am starting to see less and less interest. Especially from YouTubers who are really struggling to continue making content for these games. Even the eSports scene is a mess.
F1 world is also only good for beginners imo. It eases them into the systems pretty well but for long-time players, the upgrade system makes 0 difference on how events unfold. A low level car feels the exact same as a high level car. The only events worth doing as well are the pro racer challenges to unlock liveries.
One thing to praise? braking point. I actually enjoyed that. Wasn't revolutionary storytelling but kept me entertained. But after playing that, could not care less now. If the career mode was actually different then I would be playing that until the next entry. Certainly won't be playing any more online after being forced to get to Elite Rank twice.

unbelievable that they "fix" one thing in spain and break something else, in germany we have a word for it "verschlimmbessern" to improve something and actually make it worse. i can think of other words for something like this "hin rotzen" or "pfuschen".
I stick with it, in other product areas there would have been lawsuits and legal action long ago, this game is broken from day one and CM just can't manage to fix it properly. Every buyer of this game deserves compensation, it wasn't worth the price in the beginning and in my opinion that still hasn't changed, it was in beta stage in the beginning and it still is now.
Please add mod support, many of us could fix the problems within a few hours, or hire capable people to at least test the fixes before they go online.

every game was busted from the beginning, the one worse than the other but that doesn't matter. Remember how long it took them to stop Xbox S-X from overheating last edition? Is a disgrace. They see no rush in issues. Spain fix is going to take at least 2 to 3 weeks MINIMUM! How I know that? Just look at their reputation. Cm/EA knowingly, it will take them a couple months to fix it and in the process make you get launched into oblivion while doing a simple pitstop. Their reputation proves that they are all lazy amateurs who don't playtest the stuff they claim to fix to see what they have broken with the patch.
It's a shame, but it is how it is. Disgusting I know, but that's simply the reputation they have earned themselves with their pathetic behaviour towards their community. But hey, why give them any benefit of a doubt when they treat us as disrespectful as they do?
Fact is that WE, ALL OF US, Every single person in this forum and in the worldwide community have more power than they want us to believe, and that is OUR WALLET. If nobody buys it, problems internally will get bigger, people will get replaced or fired, and hopefully F1 asks what is going on with sales, do some research over here, and draw their own conclusions and know it's better to give another studio the chance with their name on it. Because after all these years it's only gone downhill to beyond the breaking point.
And when we don't buy, I can guarantee all the Youtubers get a free game, and must praise CM/EA how good the game is, so be warned. Do not fall for any of these disgusting tricks.
If you say you won't buy it anymore (maybe in a sale for 10 bucks or so, the CE is now even 39,99 in PS store to talk about desperate for sales and a middle finger to all who paid 99!!!! bucks) do not buy for full price, because you all have learned your lesson by now I hope that this POS is never and will never be worth AAA price.

@mikyesposto1David did tell me he’s put to much blood sweat and tears into his work to just hand it over to anyone without properly briefing who was taking over from him. However if that person leaves before F1 24 is finished we may have a problem. Funny coincidence I was just talking to my overlords about why David is so highly respected by us. Fact he’s the only dev who has been a constant presence and willing to discuss our issues and suggestions with the handling. No surprise it’s the best thing about the game🤧🫂

Good evening,
Still no reply just one sentence from EA/Codemasters. Its a joke. Where are the officals, come on? At least say something that sorry we did it wrong. This is not how any company should handle their customers/players.
Can you let us know:- When we can expect Catalunya to be fixed?
- Will be any public test server/build in the future?
- When you are going to fix the collision for each car?
Example:
Tauri POV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrtVQMzko4M
Red Bull POV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYF9VDSTxGQ
Do you think this is realistic? I already told my opinion about this. Before you ask, damage was on Standard/Standard. For other cars/teams it would be a KO.. - Can you confirm that you are changed the handling with the latest patch? Many professional/amateur players are complaining about it.. Somehow you forgot to put this"small" detail into the patch note.
- Las Vegas "fix", no this wasnt a fix it was just a cheap try to do something.. Do you think if you also add an invisible bumper to that corner it will solve the issue? For real? How could you dare to call/name this as a fix? Which map will be the next? Monza after you ruined it in F1 22?
I hope we can expect soon a reply from you and please do not take this as an attack. We just players who still try to have fun and play.
Regards,
Adam/fazer
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@fazerinho I’ve been playing games developed by Codemasters for 30 years. Been on their forums for years. This is by no means their first stinker off a game and it’s definitely not the worst. From When game developers started using internet to add post launch patches and content to games. Codemasters have been really bad at it. First patch they dropped for a F1 game was to increase difficulty off Hard. First few laps everything was fine leading race by a few seconds. Few laps later your in last place and about to get lapped. And pretty much every patch since has made something more broke. Anyhow in all those years other than the odd official generic statement that will only go as far as saying ‘Due to community feedback we continue to make improvements to game’. I’ve never seen them come out and admit to or apologise for anything. Even the few people I occasionally talk to at codemasters either pretend not to hear me or change the subject when I ask anything

I'm growing sick and tired of this garbage game. It's the best one they've put out, but yet the worst at the same time. After every single update, I get bull where I can't connect to their servers. Did a half hour race, for nothing. I'm so sick of this and ready to go back to a older version, only I really like the F1 world.... It's the first time I've ever cared to get a good license, because I can do solo races and add to the license. You guys will be lucky if you fish me into another round of this * game. Ever since EA took over for me, is when it started to go downhill. Just feels like there's no urgency or respect for the amount of time we the users put into these games. Fix yourselves EA, or I'm done for good.

This game, literally wastes my time, more times than not. You really have something to be proud of EA.... It's horrible, and I'm pissed that I spent $120 or whatever I paid. Rip off, for this garbage. Here's to hoping you fix this crap.

Hello racers,
I know you are frustrated and I know you are angry. The team is aware of the new different issues that have appeared after the patch and the older ones that existed before it. I have also raised the negative sentiment you are sharing on this thread. I really encourage you to keep sharing your criticism, thoughts, and feedback (positive or negative). However, I won't tolerate any toxic behavior or rude messages.
Thank you again for your patience and your passion and sorry for the inconvenience all these issues might have created.
