Well, I only played about 160 hours but I will not waste more on this game. I am seriously considering not to buy the next one.

I started this week with F1 23 because it's in Game Pass and I just raced some time trial events to get used to the car and the circuits and so far it's not so bad.
I'm really impressed by the performance of the game in VR. There are some settings that I had trouble with, so I needed some time to bring up the needed OSM in VR to the virtual screen. Like the message "lap invalidated" because in VR everything is hidden by default - WHY ??
But after reading this thread I'm not sure if I should start a career just to get cheated from the game and the bugs.
It seems that EA after buying Codemasters have dropped every intention to produce a high quality racing game. It's the same wit EA WRC it's the worst WRC game in years.
Patch 1.19 when?

Ok, with this info I started a career in F2 to learn the game, but oh boy ... after setting everything in manual mode, in the first race the gears are changing automatically and no way found to change this. So I deleted the career, started a new one (with the same manual settings) and this time the settings are used.
After restarting the game a message appeared "Locale not supported, Voice control performance will be degraded" and voice control does not function anymore without changing anything on my setup. I tried a few things but couldn't solve this. Slowly I understand why this game is rated buggy.
I'm playing on PC, anyone an idea what settings have to be checked to get this voice control working again?

What language are you playing in and what locale is set on the PC?
Voice control is dependent upon the Kinect runtimes (that's an aside and general advice that may or may not solve your issue).
Most likely it is because you added a new sound source (reinstalling or updating GPU driver does actually do this; 'Display Audio') it would be helpful if you posted a dxdiag. Choose the device as the default audio source in Windows that you use in the game.
Usual troubleshooting applies, update Windows (not Insider), update drivers (but I will check your dxdiag), verify game files. Also it may have a bearing if you state your PC platform, Steam and EA are different. I am aware the game has been added to GamePass (historically this has had it's own issues, but I've never subscribed to GamePass and have always ran the game on Steam).

Soon. EA Content Creators were issued a build 3 days ago. Not a guarantee of a patch release, but an encouraging sign. Based on last season, there should be one more patch.
