Still didn't fix F2 Practice session, its still at 30 mins when it should be 45 mins. Just give the license to 2K, at least they get the rules of the sport right.

@LuckyNico92 My apologies if I come across as a *, but there's 0 chance in 0 of Kylotonn taking over F1 simply because they couldn't afford the licensing fees needed to obtain the IP from the FIA. Even if they took out two loans on every asset they owned they'd still come up well short.
While I only played 2 or 3 of the Kylotonn WRC games nothing really stuck out at me that made me think they deserved a shot at a big-time franchise like F1.
The ideal situation would be to start a Kickstarter or crowdfunding operation (or stumble upon an angel investor) to free Codemasters from the grip of EA so they can go back to focusing on racing instead of concentrating on how to shoe-horn micro-transactions into the game.

@TheRagebeardBasedbeard 😍😂
It’s also a matter of if they would even want the F1 license. As you’ve already alluded to. Huge financial gamble

I agree with everything you've said. The idea of a studio the likes of Kylotonn acquiring the F1 license is ludicrous. Both for the reasons you've stated and for the one flying under the radar here: monetization and a yearly franchise are most definitely of Liberty Media's liking.
I do think Codies is failing even at that, even more so with the fiasco that the eSports scene has been verging on and the decreasing sales, but it's been implied a bazillion times that many stakeholders demand a level of revenue that would not otherwise me achieved. That predates the EA acquisition by a long, long time.
Codies license isn't new, but I'd wager that a microtransactions bolstered revenue was at the core of their last renewal a handful of years ago.
Same goes for the casual gamers audience and the simcade handling. Whenever (if ever) Liberty feels like offering a true simracing experience, they're most likely to go to a different partner and have the two franchises coexisting, firmly believing they would not cannibalize each other's public.
The latter is Just my hunch obviously, but the terms of Codies' and Liberty's agreement severely constraining their business model has been practically spelled out over the years.
It is just your last paragraph that I don't agree with. It is no coincidence that the other interested party in acquiring Codies was Take-Two before being outbid by EA. Codies was already shifting towards this monetization model, and I'm convinced that was part of Codies' pitch - their decision to move to MTX - and one of the main reasons EA's offer was so appealing.
Again, the franchise is in a dire state and I'm positive Codemasters is under pressure here with their failing at revamping their revenue year after year - if historical data of active Steam players and EA's quarterly reports are anything to go by. They absolutely need to get their act together, implement a solid multiplayer experience and can hardly afford to deliver another same old same old package again. But revenue aside (heh) that's pretty much what F1 wants for this franchise.
EA and Codemasters. This is a marriage, not a kidnapping.

Also just want to add. Current WRC game is being compared with Dirt Rally 2.0 and RBR. And not to the previous WRC games because it’s no contest that the Current EA WRC is better
