@pawel567honest question, are you sure about this online/offline player base? This is a long discussion but we never got proper info about that.
And about the video, looks like they made a really good work this time. New handling, new/legacy tracks at launch, even a new dashboard. Seems really nice!

@pawel567700 hours and not once have I gone on multiplayer. Only 10% of players on PlayStation have completed 10 online races. Considering most online races are only 5 laps that’s very poor. Most popular F1 content creators mainly put out single player content including Jarno Opmeer
50 races 3% and 100 races 1%
Also addF1 21 only 12% completed 10 races…
This is the reason I don’t play online Completed 10 clean races 1%
I did 900 hours on 21 offline 😁
And from the goat that is 2020
13.6% completed 10 online races
2019 12%
Id sat on those figures majority off people who play online get bored well before a month
- pawel5672 years agoNew Ace@ScarDuck14 How are you losing 700 hours offline? Honestly, I'd get bored after 100 hours, and where would I be after 700 or even 900. I'd recommend you to join some cool league (I can recommend you) and you'd ride with players and not with bots (AI) 🙂

We tend to see things through our own bias but sometimes is nice to take a step back and see the broader picture. The world is too big and wide.

@dancrodriguesTo be fair most Games developers who’s games that have a online feature will push multiplayer more as that’s where they see where they can make most profit from being through live service or micro-transactions. So naturally players are told multiplayer is where it’s at.
F1 games are slightly different as there isn’t much to gain online through live service or micro transactions due to lack of content that they can add. So I’m guessing that’s the reason why there are no dedicated servers and poor online performance persists. If they went for dedicated servers it would probably cost them other the games life cycle.
Then let’s not forget the best games of the last few years have all been single player like God of War, Even Dead Space, and Fallen Order both EA games. Not to mention if it wasn’t for bugs Jedi Survivor would also be a huge hit.
