Being real though, feels like it will be a moderate banger.
Great gameplay as the fully realized handling that Greco wanted for F122, all powered by and enabled by those under the hood improvements he worked his backside off last year: more data points for the load sensitivity and tyre model, hitboxes actually aligning with chassis and underfloor, etc. The trailer even references that when they go over the physics and handling.
Incremental improvements on single and multiplayer experiences though. This one is just a bet, and I'll absoluty love to be proven wrong 🫶

@mariohomohRain on camera still looks stupidMaybe there's a chance we finally get to opt to have no rain in career mode then it might not matter so much...
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend
@Ultrasonic_77I’d prefer that: Over rain drops rolling down the camera and not reacting to the physics.
But overall I’m quite excited. Knowing how the handling feels this year.
- BadMayh3m2 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 Dont think it's a problem myself😉

Hope the Red Flag doesn't come out because of the rain when Im 40 seconds ahead and pulling away.

One thing I was very pleased to see in the trailer was an option to turn red flags off 🙂.
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@BadMayh3m That’s exactly what will happen. Your going to get a race per season where heavy rain to bring out red flag will be scripted
- BadMayh3m2 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 Yeah, when most of the Red Flag is scripted I would not be 😯
I was trying to be sarcastic....oh well. - ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@fujipandasan There was alot off new stuff concerning handling and physics.
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@fujipandasan It’s just marketing., If everything was announced now. People would stop talking about the game within days. By drip feeding new info leading up to the game release keeps people interested and talking about it more thus creating more awareness
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@fujipandasan Next reveal video will be on 19th I believe.
Don’t expect much different in myteam or career. This years focus looks to be on handling and physics along with Breaking point 2. - BadMayh3m2 years agoSeasoned Ace
There is a really funny part of the video but might be to subtle for some.
EA finally gave their opinion on Thomas Ronhaar cheating by putting him in the vid.
With the controversy going on and Im pretty sure they had enough time to remove his spot there is hardly any other conclusion to come to.
But I've been mistaken before🤔
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@BadMayh3m I did think the same

@fujipandasan wrote:There actually anything we did not already know about the game that was in this deep dive? I do not think they presented any new features.
I'd argue the biggest focus was on something much more important: highlighting major changes to the car handling. I suspect this may well end up being the biggest reason for people to want the new game.
Other than red flags and 35% race distances I think we'll learn about the functional changes more in the next video.

Yeah, the handling looks alteady different from the few we can get from the video, it looks easier to go full throttle. They also say there should be more predictable behavior, I’m wondering if braking will be improved as well, also setting side. Fingers crossed 🙂
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@Nuvolarix The Handling is awesome 😎

@ScarDuck14 can’t wait… 😎

- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend
@Jpk123456Or 4th or 3rd. Watch the deep dive video you’ll notice in one shot.. car on kerb full power 3rd gear.

This one ?
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@Jpk123456 There’s another one when the car is on outside kerb. With the power on full. That picture shows zero throttle.
But in any case you won’t be spinning in 3rd unless you’re being really silly. You will in 2nd but it’s pretty easy to manage the dev when is starts to slide - ScarDuck142 years agoLegend
@Jpk123456 This one.
- Jpk1234562 years agoRising Traveler
I really hope they do better this year.
This year is the first time since 2018 that I have not preordered the game due to this problem. first see then believe....
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@Jpk123456 If you’re worried about the handling… Don’t be! I promise
- TotosHeadphones2 years agoSeasoned Ace@fujipandasan As a rule, I never buy or preorder a game until I know how buggy it is a launch and also until it gets into gamers hands. I think in this scenario, I wouldn't ever discount not buying it unless I didn't see enough of an update. Until there is a full run down of features I can not make a decision as to be fair, the information is fairly light. It wouldn't be a sound decision to base it on the trickle of stuff that has been revealed.
Anybody worried about traction, listen to @ScarDuck14 *wink wink - mariohomoh2 years agoHero (Retired)@TotosHeadphones Yep.
The marketing timeline had all sorts of events listed, even "content creator hands-on". The only thing I'm interested in is the proper, general review embargo.
The creators hands-on I'll obviously watch a few. The solid, well mannered, not shouty ones. But after last year, I will always be squinting down the monitor "hm, let's see where you're lying to me" 🧐
When the impressions get generic and more hopeful than helpful, that's when you need to back off.
Wait until the reviews come out. The real ones.
