F1 2023 more of the same as previous years.

So I've had 2010, 11, 13, 14, 17, 19, 20 and now 23 on Gamepass.

The fundamental problems still lie within this series and it's so obvious!

The AI still stick their nose in places they shouldn't when overtaking you, causing a crash. The AI will also have "random failures" during the race. However this frequency is increased when it's cars around you.

Still the very limited tyre info prior to the race. E.g. expected length.

AI not affected by carcass temperatures has been there since they introduced this feature.

MyTeam car customisations is severely limited too. Although weirdly we can upgrade our customer engine????

When the conditions change during the race - brilliant but still AI are on a fixed schedule. The cross over and gamble isn't there. Then if race ends in different conditions than the start, all the cut scenes replicate the original starting conditions!

I love racing games, but these things still stick out. They were items in the old forums, they are items now.

They didn't even patch the new Sprint format, it's changed again for 24 so we'll get the 23 version??

It's a big disappointment to come back to the series after a few years off and seeing things are the same I have to say. I put up with it because I want to race.

  • @tarrantino i think we will see a big difference in F1 24. Just an aside, coming back to F1 23 after suffering on Forza Motorsport for a while, F1 23 is so much more fun and makes me respect the game a lot more haha.
  • Oh Forza just felt very similar to Forza 6 on the Xbox One. Visually I think looks great, but the lack of depth in career is disappointing. Considering that had years to develop it wasn’t as complete as many hoped.

The problem is Codemasters/EA are just in a tweaking cycle with F1. It needs a ground up build.
