F1 2023 past and present cars

So I believe it is quite evident that this years F1 game is off to a flying start. The introduction of F1 World has given players a real reason to continue improving and sticking with the game.

It also allows for players that don’t want to indulge in competitive ranked play an ability to get faster and faster with having to stress over an extra braking inch or fighting for that extra millisecond to get onto the throttle.

my question is would it be a good idea to involve past racing cars into the unranked field. These car unlocks could be unlocked through the compendium system or even have an extra past token that can be spent to unlock on past F1 cars. Just like how the Supercars are unlocked. Or they can be the reward for completing the podium pass or even as goals.

Now I believe that this will only work where the tech level is used and thus not being allowed in ranked racing. The only this these cars would have is the appearance of that past F1 car and their iconic sound. eg. Sound of those V10’s

The tech level would allow for the mods and added benefits to directly change the speed and handling of the f1 car and thus all cars should be handling and performing similar to that of their equivalent tech level F1 2023 car.

I believe it would increase player base over a longer period especially if the cars were rewards for the top level of the podium pass. It would also be awesome to line up on the grid with every car representing an unique moment in F1 history

what do you think??

  • If they ever added the older cars back in, and at this point I'm absolutely certain they never will, then you'd only be able to race them against each other. You could not, in any rational way, modify a 1990 F1 car in such a way as to have it be able to race properly against a 2023 model. If it can't happen in real life, then it 100% will not happen in the game, because the intellectual property owners won't allow their brands to be used that way. We already know this because the company that owns F1 outright refused to allow supercar racing in the game, because it wasn't realistic, and didn't happen in real F1 races/race weekends.
