F1 2023 Thoughts So Far
I am a big F1 fan and have played every game since 2013, some of which have been memorable and others...not so much. However, I have always continued to get the latest one as Codemasters always tried...
I have enjoyed F1 23 very much. The multiplayer racing is competitive and fun.
However, IMO F1 2021 was an excellent game (and I compare all others against it) and while I do like the general concept of F1 World, I think the upgradable F1 World Car is about the dumbest thing EA has ever put in an F1 game. You get a freaking reward of some time for doing next to nothing on the game.
And seriously, get rid of the Supercars and Pirelli Hot Laps. Just a waste of space.
The F1 Life crap - seriously who asked for this and why is this in the game? Scrap it.
The Compendium is pretty cool and helps newcomers learn more about the sport, but how about tie in a classic car as a reward from each team once you complete their book.
All in all, they need to go back to the basics.
Why not have a career mode where you start in the F3 and try to make your way to F2 then F1?? Hell even NASCAR Heat has that career progression model from Dirt Track to NASCAR series. It seems so simple.
If EA can get out of their own way and listen to the people who play the game, we could get a much better product.
