The F1 World surprised me. I don’t think I have ever, ever in my life written a favorable post about F1 Life, but in this F1 World overhauled form it looks in fact pretty neat. Still not my jam, and supercars are still so unpalatable it irks, but if I were a betting man, I’d say the feature will produce reasonably good numbers.More importantly, it could reveal itself as a good bridge between single player-exclusive users and online modes, with how much of a soft online interactivity those events and other modes seem to offer.

@Liaveal Hmm... I'm all for Career and My Team getting a revamp. They're in a sore need of one, that's for sure.But F1 World seems to have a random, RNG "loot" system. You complete a challenge and will be rewarded a random upgrade – a new FW? a new floor? a new engineer? Apart from the color coded rarity of the rewards, you'll only know what you got when you open it.That's unfit for career modes, in my opinion.

I have zero interest in Braking Point but the second part of that trailer gets a big thumbs up from me 🙂. Lots of interesting looking new elements there IMHO.@mariohomoh I just rewatched the trailer to check and nothing in it makes me think anything will be random. What I expect to happen will be that players complete challenges etc to earn Tech Points that they can choose to spend how they wish on different upgrades. This would mirror a similar system in EA PGA Tour, which also has a system of daily, weekly and seasonal tournaments that I was very much reminded of when listening to the trailer.

These can rapidly become a complete waste of time as the player earns or buys better ones in other ways. It's possible that the 'parts' described above operate via a similar mechanic. You could equally be right that there is a RNG element but as of right now my guess remains that this wont be the case. Even if there is all the new stuff added should still go a long way to help reinvigorate the franchise I hope, and encourage new players to spend time on the game.

@Ultrasonic_77 I find this utterly disappointing. If I'm honest, I'm still trying to decipher it and how it all impacts on the single player experience. The fact that we have yet to hear anything considerable about My Team (what is the career mode?) is particularly jarring

Unless the upcoming preview window has people showing meaningful changes to career and My Team. If those topics are under a no-no NDA deal, then I'll be equally disappointed.
Damn this May month! We already lost Imola, and now this.
Yesteryear we had 3 deep dives I think? Handling, Audio, and VR + new features. I had forgotten about the schedule above and was legit expecting a third one about new "small" features, like improvements to team management and R&D on those career modes.

I completed BP2 yesterday and I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised 😉
It wasn't dull as BP1 and I quite liked Netflix-ish cinematics.

@P4st3l1ak I watched Tom97 full game video. Not all of it skipped to the cutscenes. The story doesn’t grab me. I loved FIFA journey because the guy was really well written and likeable and for the vast majority of the time you played as him. Can’t remember his name🤷🏻‍♂️😂

BP only person I liked was Devon and you only get to be him once ?

@ScarDuck14 I don't play FIFA, not much a football fan. So I can't compare.
I am not saying it surprised me and I could see through the veil of hidden politics and manipulations but I enjoyed it anyway 😉 And it was better than BP1.
Well, I enjoyed Devon in earlier versions as well although I don't like these cocky characters IRL.
And I liked the twist that he was named after a county in UK while his sister after state in US 😉

Well, I tried F1 World.
F1 car races are ok-ish but I may find tweaking wing, engine and personnel boring after a while.
EA/Codies said there won't be buy-to-win option but I foresee micro-transactions available to purchase resources to improve tech level.
I also tested Supercar task and that was an awful experience ☹️ (time attack on COTA track with Merc)
Please, Codies, bring back classic F1 cars instead.
