F1 23 cars are too fast, Not matching real life times

F1 23 cars are way too fast they need slowing down as they are over 1.5/2 seconds faster than Real life F1 Times which is not realistic so the Performance needs slowing down on all tracks so the performance on F1 23 is matching the real life Performance

As most at Austria in multiplayer are doing 1.3's in 1 Shot Qualifying so if they did short quali or full Qualifying the times could get into the low 1.3s or maybe even a high 1.02 on F1 23 game on Equal Performance

So the performance on equal obviously needs slowing down on all tracks so the cars performance is actually matching real life Performance times so it's relastic not like 1.5/2 seconds faster on game than real life times.

EA you need to change the handling model with more understeer or just make the cars heavier to slow down the lap times are they are not relastic to real life times

@JRVolts Every official F1 game released on consoles has had the same problem, happens every year. For example, way back on F1 97, you probably needed a 1:09 or 1:10 around Monaco to out qualify the hardest AI. The real pole position that year in Monaco was a 1:18

@drewgriffiths I definitely agree the F1 23 cars needs to be slowed down on every track as they are way too fast as it's not relastic to real life Performance times so EA needs to put in more understeer or make the cars heavier to slow down the cars as my personal best pole time around Austria in multiplayer is 1.03.4 on strict track limits Equal Performance but I've saw others getting faster than 1.03's around Austria in multiplayer so the F1 23 cars definitely need slowing down around all tracks as it's not relastic to real times around all tracks which they have already raced at this year

@JRVoltsHave you looked at what laptimes the do in Iracing (a hardcore sim) with a Merc car approved my Merc themselfes? They are even faster than what they are in F1 23..

People can risk more in a game, use more extreme setups which grant faster times at more risk or tyre wear, its not a full sim so its more forgiving which leads to more exploitable behaviour through setups.. If anything they need to nerf high speed grip but i rather think its a matter of camber of a corner, something the game is still far from perfect at as many other things but its definitely not a problem because the fastest players are going faster than real life.. Try it with someone constantly shaking your body and see how much time you lose alone to that..

Its really not as easy as just comparing the end result 🙂

Edit: Plus track conditions! They also make a big difference ask a driver what time difference it makes with 30° track temps and 55° track temps and as @ADunky said track inaccuracy itself makes also plenty of difference!

I would also add how accurate are the races tracks? Are any of the tracks in f1 23 laser scanne?. Even if you got the cars 100% accurate to real life. If the tracks are wrong, the times will be wrong.
