So not sure how updating BIOS to fix a vulnerability that exists probably since before F1 23 was launched would help. I played and could succesfully join lobbies on invites received, irespective of whom and on which platform the league races was hosted on. Issue only started occuring this year. This was with the BIOS vulnerabiltlty present that it worked previously, so what changed in the game to become reliant on a patched vulnerability? Also does not happen on all, just some lobbies I join through a friend invite?
Has anyone else had success in BIOS update to fix this? If there was l, happy to go through this, even taking the risk with our failing power utlity switching off power at times to protect the electricity grid (loadshedding). Will take that risk of power going off randomly during a bios update and tinker again with my OC settings only if this has proven to fix it. If not, seems we are spitballing here and not sure how to fix it, but rather in an info gathering stage for a potential future fix (although it should bave been fixed as some comments here inficate they have never been able to join an oniine lobby).

Install or don't install the UEFI update for the vulnerability. It won't affect the game issue unless there are updates to uCode, or in the case of AM4 AGESA updates.
The UEFI update is recoverable should it go wrong, using USB Flashback or Gigabyte DUALBIOS recovery (Gigabyte also support QFLASH recovery now). Obvioulsy if you live in an area where you feel mains outages could be an issue, get a UPS or don't attempt if the season means mains outages are likely.
Mainboards are not finished product when they are made available for sale. It is reasonable to expect that to improve the efficacy of the product, updates may be required.
I read the release notes and determine whether or not an update gives a useful risk / reward. In the case of LogoFAIL, yes it is a suitable risk IMO. Your opinion may vary, but that's your data and not mine.
