F1 23 keeps dropping frame rate after the 1.15 patch updates

I was playing the game the night before the 1.15 update and it was running smoothly holding steady at 120 fps. The next day after the update i lanuch the game again and was doing FP1 at COTA and every 5-10 seconds the game would lag. I turned on my fps counter and i was loosing roughly 50 frames and that was causing me to lose lap time. Is anyone having a similar issue as i am. Or does anyone know how to fix it

This helped a little but its still stuttering, now its dropping to 53 instead of 28fps

Go back to DLSS but try the High preset.

I'm AMD but I get no drops - admittedly I don't use RT as I don't care for the tanking but it's general IIRC

  • Guys,

I had the same, but because of Nividia Reflex + boost was activated. If its "ON" or "OFF" its ok, but dont active "+ BOOST". On Nvidia Pannel its ok, but not in the game.

    Reflex + boost = 56fps

Reflex on (or off) = 170 fps

    U welcome

  • Or so I thought. Now it's freezing for a tiny amount of time which is annoying and slows me doen on the straight... I'll post a DxDiag soon

  • I'll also see if reinstalling the game on a SSD will help.

Contact PC Specialist re advice on updating your mainboard.

It won't hurt. Anecdotally, the game always used to glitch over the Start Line when the lap time is posted. Installing it on NVMe/SSD was certainly the end of that issue.

@SteveJacksonDownloading on the SSD seemed to fix it for now but if it starts again I'll update the mobo

Yeah deffo can’t handle the writes to spinning rust!

There may be a way to cross flash the board back to its original BIOS, far better than relying on system integrator support. 👍
