@SteveJackson If you're a console user a PC should not be a requirement to update your wheel to work on a game that claims supports it. Especially when the same wheels work on other titles without the need to update the firmware. Having to go through that process seems like the dictionary definition of jumping through hoops to me.
Then I’m afraid you’re just showing a lack of understanding of why the situation exists.
Precisely because your console isn’t able to perform an update in the manner the MANUFACTURER delivers it. If this is the case, your “beef” is with Logitech, who I am sure will tell you that that is exactly the case.
So, do you then transfer your ire to Microsoft? Because they design and operate the XBox (understandably) in the closed fashion they do for good reason (to protect the integrity of the product/platform).
No, it seems you’re happy to post your theories here (which it is a free world after all) that if read out of context tell others not to bother to update their firmwares and we should all just wait for the developer to pull a rabbit from their hat?
Or do EA simply remove the Logitech wheels from the compatibility list entirely?
I have read your bug thread and I can assure you it was not ignored. It was included in a recent update tracking push that has been instigated through appropriate channels.
When there is more to see, you will see it. But I can’t speak to discussions or decisions I’m not party to.
Thanks.
