Remember when they (Lee Mather especially) teased DLC tracks for F1 22, acting as though something special might be coming, only to bring out 2 tracks (China / Portimao) post launch which were already in the previous game. From that moment onwards I knew we would probably never get actual, proper DLC tracks that we´ve been asking for time and time again.
That was hilarious, all that hype for those two tracks lmao
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@ReimvomSchleim I was a little excited when I first noticed the store this year as it also contained DLC in the title. But there’s not been any hint of anything else coming other than the sports update and F2 which is obviously free anyway.

@ScarDuck14 yeah i feel you. In the past few years, the biggest thing I´ve learned with regards to Codemasters is to always expect the absolute minimum. So that´s why even when they announced the DLC tracks I didn´t get my hopes up anymore and just expected them to bring Portimao and China and nothing else, such as Hockenheim. Since that became true, I´ve stuck to that method and it´s always been true so far.

I would pay some money to add Hockenheimring, Istanbul and other tracks into the game. Would make Co Op Carrer a bit cooler if you can change the tracks every season.
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@ThatShiro They know it’s what we really desire. All comes down to FOM and licensing plus will it make huge profits.

At least next season there are no new tracks on the F1 calendar, so they don´t have to focus on any tracks from the official calendar to add into the game. This hopefully means they can put those resources into creating some Classic tracks next year. If they don´t add DLC tracks for F1 24 I fear it might never happen.
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@ReimvomSchleim But there are tracks that need a lot of work. Spa bring the main one

Depends on how long they will stay on the ego engine. If they do the long necessary switch, they have to touch all tracks anyways.
I also really hope for Hockenheim, which was last included in F1 2019 and should be updateable without exorbitant efforts. Sochi as well in 2021, but I doubt that is realistic. Sepang might also be technically updateable, it was in 2016 and therefore also on current engine.
But as mentioned before, fom and licensing issues might be the challenge. I am happy for every different and new track I can get my hands on on myteam. I really appreciate to have the three tracks additionally. Portimao really makes fun to drive
- @atfmarko can you imagine the outcry if CM released paid DLC tracks?
