Guys no doubt PSVR2 would be great if properly implemented. But you’re looking at it from your perspective and bias.
Look at it from EA’s point off view. Cash is king. Shareholders are gods. EA would have absolutely crunched the numbers and if it was a sure fire win! “It’s in the game”. But it’s not. It’s as Simply as that.
They are not the only developer. I just looked on PSstore for psvr2 and there are currently just 2 AAA games and both made by Sony Studios,
It’s all good to dream just don’t get carried away. They won’t put it “in the game” until they know for certain it’s worth it. Like I’ve said big developers don’t like gambling trying to set trends they like to follow them.
Fortnite… Sets a trend. Activision, Ubisoft and EA follow.
PSVR2 Once it establishes a trend. The rest will follow.

@ScarDuck14You are 100% right that we are bias, how ever saying they only put it in the game if they know it’s worth it isn’t realy the case. Look at F1 ‘22 for exemple, putting super cars, clothes, table’s, couches and all that lifestyle crap in the game wasn’t realy worth it was it? I’m pretty sure porting vr cost less money and time than building the whole life part from scratch. Life nobody asked for and nobody wanted, atleast with vr they know people want itI'm assuming that those involved genuinely thought that the F1 Life stuff would appeal to enough players to be worthwhile. Whether this panned out or not is a different question. Personally the idea of lamps and sofas as rewards for good performances in an F1 game still blows my mind, and I'm sure there will be a point in the future when newer players will think we're making stuff up if we mention it!
- 2 years ago@Ultrasonic_77 For sure they think we’re making stuff up😂 but that’s my point they thought lamps and sofa’s would apeal to players but for vr they know it apeals to a amount of players and when developt they had no id of knowing how well it would sell they only had sony’s 3 million estamated sales and with psvr2 in stores now sales will most likely go up

Huge numbers of people have zero interest in PSVR2 support remember, including 100% of players on PC and XBOX.
From a personal perspective I have zero interest in PSVR2 support as VR makes me motion sick almost immediately but I would have happily gone without F1 Life so fans could have had this!
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@Ultrasonic_77 I also have zero interest. Not until it’s cheaper and more games are released. So probably in a year or 2
- 2 years ago@Ultrasonic_77 I think we all know more people have intrest in psvr than a sofa and lamp simply because nobody cares for that.
But i agree that not all people care for psvr, but that goes for pcvr aswell - Ultrasonic_772 years agoHero

But i agree that not all people care for psvr, but that goes for pcvr aswellHonestly I don't. My guess was the hope that F1 Life would appeal to the youngest players, who are unlikely to be posting on forums like this and I'm FAR to old to judge myself. That said I'm guessing the fact there was no furniture in later Podium Passes gives us some indication of its popularity.
- 2 years ago@Ultrasonic_77 I’m 42 years old myself but never in my life playing a f1 game i was thinking “you know what this game needs, a cool carpet for my virtual home”
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@ha6hk3w77mwj Just a baby 😜

My point was I don't feel in a good place to start assuming what children playing the game might or might not appreciate 🙂.
- 2 years ago@Ultrasonic_77 Treu, however i asume you buy a F1 game to race F1 cars. But who knows what kids want
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@ha6hk3w77mwj kids like pointless stupid things that cost money. Like worthless skins and items. I know this cause my daughter is always asking for V bucks….
- 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 Treu, i’ve spend a cupple of bucks myself on roblox😂
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@ha6hk3w77mwj Yup she like Roblox also
- 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 yeah it’s funny “dady can i make this dog flying its only €2,49 😂😂😂

I have a young niece and nephew who also get excited about Fortnite skins and the like. Video games were a much cheaper and simpler form of entertainment when we were their age!

What's crazy is, all those "Life" features and sport cars they have already put into the game would appeal more to VR owners.
Being able to walk around your room and get a closer look at all of your things, instead of just your 2D TV.... maybe even a grid walk...ah let me stop, I might be giving them ideas. 😆
But yes, that is what was cool for GT7... all that hard work they put in for yeeears regarding in car rendering/interiors, was able to immediately pay off with the addition to VR. It would be the same for F1. All the hard work they have put into the garages, tracks, cars, etc would pay off with folks getting a new upclose perspective....a new appreciation of what has been there all this time.

I’m not expecting it, but the last little chance for psvr support (in case of an embargo for ea and codemasters was rumored a few weeks ago)

There's a lot of buzz around the playstation showcase later today and a lot of talk about PSVR2. Imagine tapping into all that excitement and then your own game launches in a few weeks time with a VR mode for playstation. It would have been huge.
Just another reason why they have missed a massive opportunity to get this into players hands now. If the rumours are true there could be VR versions for half life alyx, god of war, the aliens game and many many more so if they release it for PSVR2 next year yeah sure it will sell more copies but it will be lost in a sea of other popular titles by then.
- 2 years ago@lufc100 Psvr2 sold 600.000 in the first 6 weeks after the hype of GT7 vr if only 50% would buy F1’23 that’s 300.000 extra copies sold. F1’22 sold 4.3 million over pc, xbox and playstation so 300.00 extra seems pretty good. Again stupid choise from ea

- 2 years ago@Ultrasonic_77 I googled it so it might not be 100% accurate use it as an indication

@ha6hk3w77mwjYou can probably triple those psvr2 sales in the coming months if this showcase delivers on what's coming like the rumours are stating. The PSVR2 was a soft launch, it dropped with two or three killer AAA titles but that could be well into double figures by Christmas if they really ramp up the marketing and announce these killer games. So the 300,000 could have been a conservative figure in hindsight.
I reckon F1 would have been the no1 system seller for the headset until the next wave of first party sony games drop during the holiday season. They could have attracted tens of thousands of new people to the franchise just by being out there first.
Yeah GT7 is amazing but people want to be Lewis Hamilton or max verstappen in F1 and they want proper races with all the rules and strategy. - Ultrasonic_772 years agoHero
