- ha6hk3w77mwj3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@Ultrasonic_77 Sales have nothing to do with it, psvr2 was released in feb. Less than 4 months before release of the game. They had to wait atleast 1 month te look at sales and normaly a game goes gold atleast 2 weeks for release so if they wanted to add support development had to start way before release.
As for time, vr could easy be outsourced to another studio as they did in the past so that isnāt a reason as well. They allready have the vr code they just need to port is to ps5, stupid thing is sinds the game is ported to pc, xbox, ps5 whatever why leave the vr part out.
It just doensnāt make sense - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
There are processes before they just dump a load of time and resources into something. Especially VR that has struggled to get any traction for decades.
A company like EA doesnāt gamble innovating. They wait see whatās going to definitively work make money before they invest.
VR isnāt worth is to them yet the numbers are not there. I have a PS5 and have no intention of buying a VR kit abs the same can be said about the majority of PS5 players.
Bigger the cooperation the least likely they are to innovate. They leave the indie developers to take most off the gambles.
only reason itās on GT7 is cause VR2 is made by Sony. So it GT7
@Ultrasonic_77 Is right who is also on PS5
- ha6hk3w77mwj3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@ScarDuck14 The point is if no one makes games for vr nobody is going to buy vr and if nobody is buying vr nobody will make games. However they have developt vr for pc so itās not like they need to start from scratch for psvr2

@ha6hk3w77mwjWhich is probably why VR has taken so many decades to gain any traction. Itās definitely on the up. But itās a few years away atleast before it becomes the norm
Problem is despite psvr2 being awesome. The numbers who have it are still very low. - ha6hk3w77mwj3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@ScarDuck14 I donāt think official numbers have been out (could be wrong)
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@ha6hk3w77mwj Donāt really need to be. Majority of people I know who have PS5 dont have it and donāt intend to anytime soon
- ha6hk3w77mwj3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@ScarDuck14 Thatās pure speculation, you havnāt talked to the majority of people, just a small amount on internet. I donāt kniw how many millions ps5 have been sold but you read maybe a cupple of hundred post

@ha6hk3w77mwjDo you think when polls are made they ask majority off people? Ofcourse they donāt. Most polls on all things are made from a few thousand people. I watch a lot I read a lot and I talk to a lot. And Iāve been around for a very along time. To know a thing or two.
- ha6hk3w77mwj3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@ScarDuck14 Iāve been gaming for 30 years, i know a thing of two aswell. And making a survey based on comments on website doesnāt mean anything. How these things go is at some point Sony will release sale numbers and then you know. If you read a lot than you know based on internet comments that a lot of people who never bought a F1 game where planning on buying thus one for the vr support

@ha6hk3w77mwjI donāt just read on here š
Vast majority of gamers are casual. Vast majority that buy and play F1 games are casual. They donāt play enough to be ready to pay out for VR until itās the must have. Currently it isnāt.
