Hey, pal!
Personally, I have no interest in driving those cars in Codemasters' F1 games. Don't think they're be good enough to have fun with, specially the Porsche Supercup given how poor supercars handle in this franchise. Then again, that's me and I'm not representative of player base.
F3 I see getting just as much love as F2 - which is to say, functionally none.
Subjective take aside, figuratively speaking the Porsche and F3 licenses aren't sold on the same stall as F1. And I'm not positive they're up to grabs either, as both the F3 and the Porsche are present in iRacing in an official capacity. F3 cars are an old spec car if I'm not mistaken but Porsche is current.
So I'm not sure EA would be down to pay for the bidding price, and I'm not sure Porsche specifically would be down to the arcade experience EA has to offer. And that's working on the premise that Liberty would be ok with having other series competing for the spotlight with F1.
There's one very valid and very appealing point you touch though, and that's the extra immersion of having supporting events around F1 GPs. Even when the gameplay falters, the feeling of experiencing a genuine F1 weekend always rang true in this franchise. I'd say it's getting a bit stale though, with the same presentation and packaging we've been seeing for who knows how many years (and games) at this point.
Would love to see that getting revamped.
Having F3 and the Porsche GT3 Cup car in the game... nah 🙃
They're super fun to drive! The 992 Cup car especially, I race them weekly on iRacing. Nothing would bother me to take those cars for a ride in an EA F1 game though.
