F1 Career Mode Story Thread?

Among former FIFA and current FC24 users, there is the possibility to write stories about their careers, here on AHQ.

Here is the current FC24 Career Mode Stories Thread

Would it be possible to do something similar for F1 games, somewhere here in one of the F1 threads?

Via mods, one can do an uninterrupted career from the 2005 season (in F1 2014) until now. Would be nice to see if we can break all tiime records 😉

    @Danimal5981

Not sure about adding a new category here but for now you can go ahead here in General Discussion.

    Thanks.

Great, but let's get it clear: even if the whole thing kicks off on F1 2014, which is 2005 season? F1 23 won't be until 18 seasons and 13 games later...

@Danimal5981Not ideal but on the F1 22 Forum. There’s Drivers lounge board that you could use. However it being on last years board plus it got very few views as it was. Posting your story there won’t get much traction. But here’s the link

@ScarDuck14 I saw your My Team story passing by here. This is exactly what I would like to do, only race-by-race, starting in the 2005 season: Michael Schumacher still racing, no world titles for Alonso, Räikkönen or Button just yet - Hamilton, Vettel, Rosberg and Verstappen are still far from their F1- debuts.

Just trying and tell a fictional F1-history on the last 21-22 seasons by the time I catch up with the actual current games (which would be around when F1 25 would get launched), by which time my persona would be a veteran, much like Alonso. And then, if that alternative timeline differs much from reality, if we put the "me driver" in the middle of it...?

    • As a Scuderia Ferrari-fan, the primary idea is to tell it from the POV of their team: someone starts in a feeder-team and makes it to Ferrari eventually, where he'd stay for most of his career, if not all.
    • The other idea is to tell the story from Red Bull's perspective as they made their debut in 2005.
    • An alternative idea is kind of a teamtrotter, akin to the careers of Alonso and Räikkönen.

Can I otherwise begin simply in Other F1 Games@EA_Barry

Seems the age of Career Story writing has passed... 😞

Too bad that never got off the ground. In footy games it's sort of a tradition

@Danimal5981 Problem is the career modes lack substance and enough content etc that FIFA games do. Take this years game for example. 50 drivers at most and Ten F1 teams along with the F2. and that’s all people who wanted to post a story on their career would have for the ten seasons the game’s career lasts. Where as FIFA has a thousands of current players not to mention it generates potential new wonder kids that become hero’s or villains.

Plus people used to post their stories but this game career modes are the same as they were before 2020. Which was when they added My Team, Fans of this game series and F1 are bored, fed up and angry the developers focus on adding content we don’t want.

@ScarDuck14  No, no - you misunderstand. I am not talking about THIS game in particular: that would indeed be boring after one season.

I am talking about a career through ALL games. Including patches on the first couple of games, one could realistically go back and start in the 2005 season and right the alternative history on F1. Take on Alonso, Schumacher, Raikkonen, Vettel, Hamilton and Verstappen and see if you can rewrite F1-history.

What I'm proposing is to novelize the fictional career of a fictional driver who made his debut in 2005 and drives at least 20 seasons...

With simple screen shots one can change a lot. I already have a plot up until 2014 (essentially the first half) no matter what my results would be.
