F1 history game series idea

Question

Being a long time fan of f1 I think a game series dedicated to the history of the sport would be great. &nbsp; My idea would be each edition would cover a full decade of f1 with all the drivers teams and tracks. &nbsp;It would make career mode great by having actual 10 seasons to progress in and be able to race in your favorite eras. &nbsp; Licensing would probably be too much but I think F1 decade editions would be awesome as stand alone or dlc &nbsp; Never hurts to suggest I figure. &nbsp;

@bmwRacer55 Would indeed be awesome, ideally not only restricted to decades but all ending up in one game - make each decade full game price - so you can test modern cars on classic tracks, classic cars on modern tracks etc.

Sadly the reality is that A) the licensing will make it impossible, the costs for acquiring the licenses and holding them could even be higher than the actual sales, this will be a too big risk for 99% of people even considering developing this.. And B) getting the data right for older decades, tracks, car performances etc. would make realistic results fairly difficult especially as cars pre 90s were allowing for the drivers skill to matter much more so its much harder to predict the actual car performance

I agree on licensing. &nbsp;Unfortunately greed always wins out over the greater good. Still worth dreaming and asking. Perhaps someone will come along with amazing negotiation skills one day.&nbsp;
